I haven't been able to login to beejive all day. Anyone who uses this app have the same problem?
|
Re: beejive down for you guys?
i have this problem..i thought it was because i used a custom rom on my touch pro...
|
Re: beejive down for you guys?
Says i need to install net but I've used it yesterday no problem. I'm trying to figure out why its not working now too.
|
Re: beejive down for you guys?
I get an error message saying "An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found". I guess AIM mobile will hold me over until beejive comes back up.
|
Re: beejive down for you guys?
means you need to install NETCF 3.5 and SQLce for beejive IM to work.

Re: beejive down for you guys?
this error :
"An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found" is supposedly due to the error messages not being loaded due to the lack of the framework to support the display (netCF 3.5) <---- per Beejive idk why you woulnd't have the issue before and its just popping up now. last time i saw beejive website it was asking for a purchase to get the messenger from them. but that was a while ago. maybe they are asking for us to pay for it now that it is out of beta? |
Re: beejive down for you guys?
We have decided not to release a production version of BeejiveIM for Windows Mobile 6. There were many reasons for this decision, but the two biggest had to do with the current Windows Mobile market and support/time issues. With all the devices currently running Windows Mobile, it has been proving very time consuming to build a quality product that works with all the various hardware configurations. We pride ourselves on releasing quality products and feel at this moment we would be spreading ourselves too thin if we released a production Windows Mobile 6 application.
That being said, we do plan on releasing one more beta build (hopefully within the next month or so) with some of the more pressing issues fixed. We also plan on revisiting a Windows Mobile application when Windows Mobile 7 is released. The beta application will remain free to download on our site. http://beejive.com/support/forum/vie....php?f=3&t=509 I first installed it on the stock rom no problems. I then installed on JD rom and put the XDA fix and it worked fine up till today. I'm just going to use the original one for that came on the phone for now. |

Re: beejive down for you guys?
It should be working again, now. It's part of the BeeJive network. The .NET thing is a separate cab file you can install to handle providing an actual error message instead of the generic one people were seeing. I'll find that cab for you guys tomorrow. But yeah... that error does NOT mean that people are suddenly lacking .NET

Re: beejive down for you guys?
Meh... tonight > tomorrow, here you go (link to the explanation which has the links to the cabs):
http://www.beejive.com/support/forum...?f=3&t=15&p=15 Installing the one for 3.5 (since that's the ver of .NET I am running) got me a more specific error message. Not that I could do anything about it aside from wait, still. :-P lol |

Is beejive working for you guys now?

Re: beejive down for you guys?
Question about Beejive. Does it use your text messaging plan to send/receive messages? I know the standard AOL IM you can DL claims that it will use your text messaging plan, and if you don't have unlimited it can push you over your text limit.
Does this program or any other allow AIM without using the messages? |
Re: beejive down for you guys?
this uses internet connection.
|
Re: beejive down for you guys?
nobody uses beejive?

Re: beejive down for you guys?

Re: beejive down for you guys?
Calm down people before Beejive connects you to AIM, Yahoo, or MSNM you must first go through their proxy registration servers - the developers require this method of login to prevent piracy of their product if it was to ever require paid activation. The problem is Beejive is still in beta (permanently according to the developers) and while it's still open and free to use, the end user must still pass through the registration server before access the the IM servers are granted. The outage was temporary due to maintenance on those server, so take a chill pill, count to ten and everything will be okay.
