Ok first off which build do you have as some builds don't let you change the default browser back to IE. Depending on your build got to the ^ on the bottom right of your oprea browser and click on settings. Next click on advance and scroll down there should be a setting called SET Opera as Default Browser just uncheck that and then click on the check sign on the bottom left and your done. Once again this is build specific though so if you don't see it let me know and i'll explain how through a pm to not congest the thread.

Go into Opera Menu--Tools--Settings--Misc...then uncheck "Set Opera as default browser."

I had the same issues...I am not a fan...and the release that comes with the Alltel 6.1 upgrade keeps shutting down on its own.
