MAIL2WEB service having problems?
For the last 2 days, I cannot sync and get push mail with my mail2web account. I haven't been online a few days, did I miss something? Anyone else having similar issues? Activesync on my phone says it encountered an error on the server, but from my computer I can log on from the Internet no problem. I hope I'm not the only one, I've been using mail2web for years now, I''m quite sure my settings are correct. Thanks for the feedback :)

everything's gravy for me. i don't have it update my contacts or anything, just push mail. maybe the issue is there.

I am having problems and I think I am done with mail2web for good there have been to many issues over the past 4-5 months. I have to have my email and when this went down yesterday I was in a bind trying to get some information. I had a good run with them for over 4 years of free push mail so I guess I shouldn't complain.

some of you experiencing issues should try taking off the backup contacts, etc, only keep it for mail, and see if that fixes anything. since doing so, the problems from the last 4.5 months is gone

No problems here with email, contact, tasks, and calender syncing.

The first day of trouble I was able to log onto OWA (live.mail2web.com) and check my mail through there, but it was extremely slow. Now, I can't access it there either. It has synced a few times, I guess at very off-peak times while I am sleeping. But that hasn't happened yet tonight.

it's not working for me. has been randomly syncing for last 3 days. nothing since yesterday morning.

I've also run into problems over the past few days. It synced a few days ago for me, but currently no luck. ActiveSync told me yesterday (or was it the day before that?) that there was some server update and there went my calendar.
Possibly the reason why some of our accounts work and isn't is that they are going through each account one-at-a-time? A few weeks ago, myself and another person were working on the exchange server at work and that was a major pain for only 40 accounts and the computers attached to them, so I can imagine what the people at mail2web are running into. |

I've emailed back and forth with them a few times, and last email they stated that they connected fine. My last sync was successful, but I had to initiate the sync and there were emails in my inbox from a few hours prior.
Been pushing fine ever since. Real spotty |

For those of you having problems, log onto Mail2web.com live service as if to check your email online. Then click on my email settings (bottom left corner). Then click on activesync settings (middle of screen). Then double check your settings. My username had changed. Once i updated it, it was fine. I normally just use my email address but it was actually a username with some random letters and numbers at the end.

i maybe a little late to this thread but i was having problems too. what they told me is they put in a bunch of M$ security patches and updates and had issues. All in all i think it took about 3 days before things were normal for me.

Yeah and as far as the user name goes, I changed mine to the WM6 settings mail2web provided, and my friend left it on the WM5 settings (he has an 800w). Both of us have had no difference in performance, so anyone who is thinking about changing their settings need not bother.

I'm still having the problem too...since yesterday..no sync at all (it is on their side)....i flashed to like 5 roms by now...same problem (even using the PC activeSync) no go!

I've also been having issues for the past few days. I unchecked SSL Encryption and it seems to be working okay for now....
A curious and perhaps disturbing aside to this topic is that I emailed mail2web support when the problems first began three or four days ago and haven't received a reply yet. |

Like one of the post said just having updatse on there end. I have been using them forever now and lovew that I can reset my phone when ever without having to worry about contacts. Anybody try google sync yet? Comments please!

I don't know whats going on with this server I have been using it for a year and now im having problems I read through the post and I even tried to redo the setup on my phone and it still don't work when I go to sync it it keeps asking for my password and it wont save on my phone I am even having trouble syncing to my laptop. I see some people got it working but some others myself included don't a few days ago it said it needed to sync cause of some updates to the server and since then it hasn't been working all my contacts are gone I have to put them back in can anyone help or know the reason for this. Thanks

It's working again for me. Overall I'm pretty happy with mail2web, it's pretty good considering it's free.

Did you have to do anything different or just normal set up. I still cant get my contacts and etc on my devise.

Found this on another post so cant take credit, but this is how to fix it.
In the user name field just use your email address and than on server prompt leave out the mobile part. That should fix it and your good to go. |

Ok guys here it is I fixed my phone and I am going to fix yours too. We are win6 users and if you look at the email settings on mail2web you would see it too. But anyway all you have to do is on the phone of course delete the activesync settings or you can just edit but im not sure if that would work but here we go
1) Server address should be ( mobile.exchange.mail2web.com) 2) The email is ( username_mail2web.com) 3) the user name is ( username_mail2we) Notice how I have it that's the way you should have it put in you password and it will do the rest. I have the ssl checked and it works but when i did it first it was unchecked but its checked now and it still works and that's all to it. Good luck mine is up and running all my contacts emails and all downloaded to my phone now I can really enjoy the rest of my valentines day. Now can see who is calling. :thumbleft: |

It's weird b/c the other day when it wasn't working, I took out the mobile from the server address and it worked, but then it stopped working again yesterday; so I added the mobile back to the server address and it started working again. |

Just use your email address in replace of username and leave out the mobile part when entering the server address. Cant get easier than that buddy.
