Re: Keyboards

Funny you mention that. I have it assigned to my comm manager button right now, and probably for the past year :) It's a great alternative to sliding out the hardware keyboard.

Last Update I saw for PocketCM was from March 08... Is that the most recent update?

I do like SPB FSK but is there a way to bring up the full screen automatically. When its my default KB it always opens as the tiny Qwerty keyboard and I have to switch to full screen from there?

SPB has just released an updated keyboard with quite a few changes. The one I'm most into is a half screen. I set it as default and a button press brings up full screen. So much better than the older version!

edit: forgot to meantion button presses expand upwards like iPhone keyboard

I hate the new version 4 KB. I got the email about it as I'm a registered user & bought the upgrade since it was only $5 but I don't like it at all. I would never use the small portrait version as I use the gullum touch diamond KB in T9 for that & I don't like that they eliminated the audio feedback.

I used it for one day & deleted it & went back to the old version with the Diamond skin.

Resco does that also & gives a much better popup than the SPB version.

I have the Resco, the spb full, and have tried Pocket CM and have settled on the TouchPal keyboard as the best keyboard out there. It takes a bit of getting used to but is far and away the most versatile. This kind of thing is very personal so you need to try as many as possible and find the one you like the best as opinions will differ greatly from person to person.

Exactly. I have tried every KB there is at one time or another & I absolutely hated Touchpal (a lot of other people do too it seems) TP seems to be one of those either "love it or hate it" type of things.
