10-3-08 G-Alarm....0.7 now out!!

Thanks to lipidfats for posting the new update:

I have been following this over at XDA for a little bit, and this looks like a really cool alarm clock!! I know a lot of people are looking for a 'good' alarm clock, and this may be it for some!!!

The theory is that the developer has the person being woken up guide a ball through a maze to turn the alarm off (you can use it without the maze as well though).

NEW!!!! Now there is a Today Plug-in!!!!! Plus a batch of pretty cool skins!!!!

I figured it was at a stage in development that was stable enough to post here:

New changes to 0.7 (still follow same link posted here:

0.7 (2008/10/03)

[ADDED] Options: Display next alarm in S2U2/TF3D/Manila2D and others
[ADDED] Option: Turn off display after x seconds
[UPDATED] Option: Turn off display during snoozing should now work on every device
[UPDATED] Volume-change routine: After an alarm the volume should be resetted to the original value on every device now
[ADDED] Control the ball with your finger, tilt sensor and new: d-pad
[ADDED] Better support for TF3D/Manila2D (and others): The days of the alarm is now set correctly
[ADDED] More patterns for an alarm (Create an alarm which is only played every x-th week)
[ADDED] Option: Automatic snooze after x seconds
[ADDED] Context menu for the playlist: "Clear playlist"
[ADDED] Show information about the translator
[ADDED] Today plugin: show up/down arrows only if there is more than one alarm
[ADDED] Clean uninstallation routines
[UPDATED] Lots of code improvements
[ADDED] Languages added: hungarian, arabic, turkish and japanese

G-Alarm is a alarm clock with special mechanism to wake you up. I'm a person who needs some activity in the morning, so I decided to make a alarm which asks me to guide a ball through a labyrinth before I can stop or snooze the alarm.

More screenshots:
here

Todo list:
  • Bugfixes
  • Design more mazes
  • Option: use tilt sensor instead of finger to navigate through the labyrinth
  • User guide
  • Settings for each song of playlist (e.g. repeat the song more often than other songs in playlist)
  • Multilanguage support
  • Option: deactivate all alarms
  • some ideas

Features:
  • Define unlimited alarms with many options (see screenshots)
  • complete maze before you can snooze or stop the alarm
  • play as many mp3/wav/wma files on each alarm as you want
  • VGA and QVGA support
  • Some more, but too lazy now...

THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED!!!

This software is freeware! I take no responsibility if the alarm doesn't work and you'll miss an important date with the woman of your dreams!

Thanks for using and supporting G-Alarm...

Yeah I was using the previous version and I like the update ALOT. Pretty much the best alarm app out right now. Works perfect on my mogul.

Yea I have been using this since it first came out. I do have times when it will not wake the vogue up but then other times is will. just a minor bug i guess.

That's a major bug if you ask me.

It means you can't reliably use the program as an alarm clock.

That's like saying the ABS system in your car works but sometimes the brakes don't kick in. LOL i've had this problem with a myriad of programs...I've resorted to GSAlarms crappy beeps and blurps.

I'd love to have a reliable mp3 alarm clock that could awaken my comatose vogue.

I am sure ageye can work on getting the Vogue bug if he is asked, he seems to be doing pretty good fixing other bugs people point out to him!! The new skins coming out are great, I hope you Vogue users get it working, I am really liking the form and function of this alarm!!
