Mine worked just fine dragging and dropping, but others are saying you need to use a card reader. Soft Reset your phone for both issues and try again.

Also, make sure your apps are closed (activesync, IE, messanger, etc) and see if you still have issues.

are you encoding these at 320x240 resolution? or is the program you're using to play it just auto-shrinking it. I have a program that automatically takes a DVD and rips it to a format to play on your ipod, but those files only hit 200 mb or so on long movies, and i get 25-30 FPS out of it... its for Mac only though AFAIK

This turned out to be just what I was looking for, only easier, thanks. I had video from a home DVD on my computer, and even edited it down to just what I wanted, but could not get the files from Avidemux to PPC. This program took the original video, allowed me to edit out what I did not need, and create an .avi file that the player handles very well. All very easy. Again, thanks.

I'm going to experiment using the two posted methods here ("fair use" and "pocketDivxEncoder"). After I get done I'll post my opinions...

divx is a much newer compression method, and am betting it will have much better quality per megabyte, but i'm gonna test them both to find out...

Got mine working somewhat....but the video freezes when I change to full screen. Even on small screen it looks like it is stuttering. Anything I can fix?

as an alternative, I've been using a program called autogordianknot [autogk] that is a one stop shop program. Very powerful and useful and has all the necessary codecs already to use. Highly recommended.

If you use Google (a popular search engine) and search for DVD ripper, there are tons of free apps that will rip dvd's to files and enable you to pull the audio as a seperate stream.

Its not a process meaningful to these forums but there are DVD forums that can guide you.

Here's a link to get you started, probably the best I have found for newbie DVD rippers: http://dapcentral.org/faqs/vcd/

Good luck, maybe you can post some of the results of your work for us all to share.

Quick question....... I hope somebody can help me ive been using the Fair Use Prog with no success. I have the HTC Touch (cdma) ive followed the settings at the beginning of this post but every time i add the movie to my phone an I try to play it freezes. It only advances when i press the volume it would go to the next frame which is very irritating instead of just playing like a regular movie. Does anybody have an HTC Touch (cdma) and used this prog already if you could help me i would greatly appreciate it.
