I really liked skyfire on the mogul but I must say I was sort of put off when I went to the forums there and see the flippant attitude the moderators have with people asking questions on VGA support. Its not like VGA devices just came out yesterday.....

Excuse me. What flippant attitude exactly are you talking about?

Like telling people for 6 months, VGA is not supported, end of story, with no indication if it will really ever be supported, and acting like people shouldn't be asking and then Rick Rolling them "For info on ETA or support for the following: HTC Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, Samsung Omnia, VGA Devices, Blackberry's, Android, Palm OS, iPhone's, PDA's, connection via Proxy, other countries / international, installation to storage card, final Skyfire release...

Are you saying that's not flippant?

I've been using Wince/PPC/Winmo devices since 1997 and until Apple came out with their FIRST generation and got WinMo developers off their arse the web browsing experience on winmo devices has been TERRIBLE among other things.

Yeah...that's a bit on the rude side for the Skyfire Forum Mods to be dishing out.

On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Rick Astley!

Re: Skyfire Version 0.80 Beta

I'm trying out this browser. I've been a steady/loyal fan of Opera 9.5 and Opera Mini but for a change, I decided to try this one out.

It seems great. One thing that makes it less ideal for me is the font size. I have looked at the settings and checked whether I can modify the font size because I find it a little too small. Even on maximum zoom, its a lot smaller than what my eyes are used to in Opera Browser/Mini.

Is there a way the font size can be increased? I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Thanks a lot.

Yup, it's constant ongoing problems like this that remind me why you NEVER want to install this thing as your default browser (although it is certainly nice to have in conjunction with Opera)

Re: Skyfire Version 0.80 Beta

skyfire in its current form is still more compliant to QVGA...technically Skyfire is still in beta. So what can you really expect. FULL VGA support will probably have to wait til they have Skyfire proliferated with all other platforms. Also, it may yet still be awhile before Skyfire finally reaches 1.0. Heck, by that time...we might have a Fennec beta to play with!!! Honestly though, for right now...Skyfire with its flash support...is a nifty browser to have in your device.
