Sending txt messages by other means?

Im trying to be a little more conservative about my sms usage considering ive only got 300txt a month with sprint.. and with friends that are txt happy, mine runs out real quick.

I dont even know if sprint will hook me up with more without signing a contract.

But back in the day i used to be able to send txt messages from outlook express on my computer. I would send to their phone number.. 901-xxx-xxxx@sprintpcs.com

that saved me an outgoing txt message
so im wondering if you can still do this, or is there an application for winmo that uses data to send sms rather than the conventional messaging app.

thanks.

Re: Sending txt messages by other means?

Just becareful, you can send via outlook, but sprint counts incoming and outgoing, so if they reply, you are going to get counted against..

you can get unlimited for $10/month I think or get the data pack, I think thats what it's called, $30 a month for unlimited data and text

Just pull the "I've been with Sprint for X number of years...how about a Customer Loyalty discount or Corporate Discount to offset any new charges" if you decide to up your text limit. You might have to call or fire off a few e-cares put stick after it and you can get a free upgrade or discounts.

Coz

Sprint is no longer in the business of just "giving stuff away". If you want unlimited txt msg, switch to a plan that covers it. We no longer require contract extensions for plan changes, so no need to worry about that.

Really? I just got unlimited messaging on 5 lines for free about 2 months ago. And between a Customer Loyalty discount and a Corporate Discount I save about 30% off my bill every month.

Re: Sending txt messages by other means?

Yeah...they don't make you sign a new contract to increase your text messages. I for one don't have to worry about that, I have the 99.99 Simply Everything plan. Too bad the "simply everything" does NOT included the Premium Sprint TV channels.
