If skybook and facebookmobilizer could mesh together... That might make for a good program. |
Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
this app works fine for me on the i760, when updating your friends page, if you stay on the friends page it doesnt crash, the first 4 times i did it, it crashed at the 'updating friends profile pictures page', so then i plugged my phone it so it wouldnt turn off and ran a refresh from the friends screen and it worked fine, the question u have to ask yourself is do u really need a facebook mobile app when there is a website, it would be different if this app notified u when something on fbook happened but it doesnt, so just set ur account to get sms messages to ur phone and use ur browser on m.facebook.com

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
Seriously I cant figure out why there is not a "better" facebook app for winmo. The Facebook Panel for the XPERIA X1 looks awesome too but havent seen that around. tried going to iphone.facebook.com on skyfire but eh (opera still has memory issues on my phone but supposedly works good on that). Its almost like facebook is ignoring winmo and its annoying. skybook and the such look like its running on my windows 3.1 OS.

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
Just installed the other day. Everything seems to work fine on my Mogul, except when I want to sort my friends by status updates. I get an error message every time that it can't retrieve the updates. But if I sort all friends alphabetically, it works fine. But viewing status updates is what I like to use most so I think I'll stick with m.facebook for now.

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
This program is to buggy and too cumbersome with little to no customer support. You really are better off with m.facebook.com
To bad it seems to hard to get a winmo facebook app. |
Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
Too buggy, too many problems :(

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
Have you guys tried faceofmobile.com? I have not, but I ran across it while searching for a good app.

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
When i try to add a facebook profile picture to one of my contacts, it says: "name not found, would you like to create a new contact?"
The reason for this is because i dont use peoples last names, or even nicknames in my contact list.... is there any way to select the contact to "link" it to? |

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
the funny part of all this is that the poster magnifoca, which is the company, was posting a lot at the first few pages. then as problems come up more and more, he/she just simply stopped posting. I never installed the app, but just by reading all the replies, I got a pretty good handle on whether or not to even bother with this app.

Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile
Good start! At least someone is trying!
Still having horrible issues with lagg and crashing on upload attempts. -At this point it reminds me of WM2003 (or original winmoCE with prettier icons). -placement of onscreen buttons are not easy to navigate and Dpad selections get stuck on some buttons.(butterface app) -sluggish: god forbid a friend has a photo album with more than 20 photos in it! -anything but finger-friendly. |
Re: Native Facebook Client for Windows Mobile

Recently, I was browsing threads on here and I came across "Facebook.cab", I'm sorry I don't even remember credits or I'd put it down here, or the link if I had it. I've been using it, and I don't see many problems other than the fact that it doesn't check messages (it keeps thinking)
The about section points to microsoft.com, lol, so I really don't know the author. But whoever it is, thanks for this cab! |
