Re: Kinoma media player

I would like to say that I love this program!! especially for orb but I have a question, when I had the free version and played audio tracks I would have the album art, but since getting the full version I only get the music note on "Now Playing" and on album art on the track selection thumbnails. Is there a way to change this or is this a change in the software?

Far and away my favorite app for WM. I use it all the time for music streaming, podcasts (which I listen to a ton of) and Orb. I also find myself using it quite a bit for Twitter/Facebook since I'm already in there all the time anyway.

There's still little tweaks here or there I'd like to see made and I've mentioned them on Kinoma's forums. But overall I just can't say enough good things about this program.

I got this through the blockbuster trial pay but I kept the service. I would assume that you get to keep it after the month if you cancel though

As of a few days ago, my paid version says: "All purchase tokens already used". Any ideas??

hmmm. I was't very happy last night when I went to use kinoma to test/show off a stereo install. I didn't have my music card with me, so I tried to pull up a youtube video only for it to not play. it wasn't till just now that I've had time to look into it. and realized I had to manually update each app(plug-in). Why can't I update all. why no notification that there's updates available?

btw, really? your going to call your plug-ins app's since when was kinoma an O/S?

Thanks Phil! This is what i was told: "Our activation system noticed an excessive number of deactivations with your copy of Kinoma Play. When Kinoma Play is installed on a new device, it gets deactivated on the old device so that it can be activated on the new one. Our policy is that we allow this once every 6 months.

One cause of this is when the same copy of Kinoma Play is used on multiple devices. The Kinoma Play license requires that you own a separate copy of Kinoma Play for each of your devices.

-So basically, if we have to hard reset a bunch of times.. we're SOL.

I hard Reset almost 3 times a week and never had a problem, When I change my device, not hard reset It required this new activation... I believe this is what they are referring to with the once every 6 months. It is tied to your hardware somehow so if you hard reset/upgrade a rom it does not matter.
