I, personally, think it's a completely rip-off considering your customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced.

Kinoma has a reputation for great support -- our team almost always responds within 24 hours, and is very good about solving problems -- and I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Just email the case ID you were assigned by our support team to me at charles@ our domain, and I'll be glad to escalate.

I have a better chance of getting a response out of you here than to get a comment to post succesfully on your forums since you filter them.

Just for spam and pointless "+1" posts. All you have to do is skim forum.kinoma.com to confirm that we don't moderate posts just because they're critical.

Any company that does not post a decent changelog with their new versions has garbage support, IMO.

Every release gets its own blog post that describes all changes of note. Can you be more specific?

Yeah is there a version number buried in the app ?

Sure, it's in the usual About info (Player > About).

You can also use Get Apps to see version numbers for individual Kinoma Play apps.

Also I did the OTA update and now every time I try and run kinoma I have to soft reset.

We haven't seen any general reports of behavior like that, so I recommend that you contact our support folks at your earliest convenience.

Is there goi g to be a kinoma app for the iphone? I had the first free version on my 8525 and loved it. Id like to be able to play more than one file format....

Unfortunately, Apple would never let something as capable as Kinoma Play in their app store.

We've announced that the next platform for Kinoma Play will be Symbian/S60.

this has been my experience with Kinoma. I have had a few issues, and kinoma support was very quick to reply and fix the problem.

To give you an example of their support, they released the latest version with Google Reader, but the icon wasn't appearing like it should and they had an OTA fix up within 24 hours. It was a pretty insignificant detail with a very easy fix without the update. Bravo for addressing it.

I'd still like to be able to see what time it is when it's running. Just an icon with the time on it would suffice.

I purchased this software, some time ago. At first I was a little miffed at what i saw as some pretty glaring problems. These things really made it hard for me to truly enjoy Kinoma player. But after the new version with App button came out I was happily surprised that all but one of these problems were addressed.

As far as capabilities go, this is one multitalented piece of software. (is multitalented a word?).

As for displaying the time. That would be an excellent option, its hard to stay in the Kinoma environment when you have no clue what time it is.

The History icon now shows the correct time when Advanced Settings is installed, but I suspect you guys are looking for more than that.

Do you mind describing exactly where you'd like to see a time display, so I can pass along your feedback without introducing my preconceptions? A rough mockup (it doesn't have to be perfect!) would be even better.
