Re: Kinoma media player

Yesterday, Kinoma Play suddenly stopped working on my Sprint Touch (HTC Vogue). I press the icon, the Windows "working" wheel pops up for a second, disappears, then nothing. Same thing when I try to view a .jpg file. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggested solutions?

UPDATE: I just did a hard reset. Reloaded most of my essential programs (including Kinoma Play) Works fine, for now.

That's true, it was a very early one and I wish we could've gotten it out there sooner.

The good news is that since Advanced Settings is its own Kinoma Play app, we can update it independently. That should allow us to add useful settings preferences more quickly than we could've previously.

No worries! I appreciate all the patience you've extended to us, and just know that we're definitely listening.

You should have the twitter client, say updated with Kinoma, currently it says updated via Web. More free advertising.

Good catch, thanks! I've made sure to escalate this with our engineering folks.

The other things the Twitter client needs is Twitpic integration, organize users into groups, and GPS. That's why although I have Kinoma, I still use Pocketwit.

Cool, that's good to know. We fully support Twitpic (see "Share photos with Twitpic" here), but I've added the other two as feature requests.

Can you point me to examples that show how you'd like groups and Twitter/GPS integration to work? I think I mostly know what you're looking for, but it's always nice to be able to point internal folks to unfiltered feedback from customers.

This is an Opera error? (Sorry, I'm a little confused...)

Wow, strange. I'm glad it's working for you again, and thanks for the follow-up.

If this happens again and no other apps are affected, I'd first try an uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn't solve it, our our support folks would probably appreciate the opportunity to walk you through some steps to try to identify the problem.

A trial version of this new iteration available yet?

You mean Kinoma Freeplay? There's always a free version, it just doesn't support everything (mainly streaming video, though youtube works just fine) that Kinoma Play does. Great software, btw, I'll probably be buying it soon.
