Exactly.

I use s2p & love how it integrates with s2u2 & it irritates me when Kinoma steals that association as if it is a better app for music (it definitely isn't)

The PC app is Kinoma Producer, and it's meant to help people (especially beginners) encode their media for mobile with minimum fuss.

A bundle price is a great idea though...thanks!

What do you like about S2P that Kinoma Play/FreePlay doesn't do?

Integrates with S2U2, I can swtich tracks, adjust the volume or stop playback completely without ever unlocking my phone. I can "flow" through the album covers to change albums. it starts automatically when I turn on my S9. It plays while my phone is asleep. Its the all around perfect player for me, and I have no intent of changing that.

I assume you mean via AVRCP rather than via the phone's buttons?

Cover Flow is pretty, at the cost of useful information density. We're intentionally using the same familiar view we use for everything from podcasts, to YouTube channels, to Flickr photo sets, to Shoutcast genres. It also has the benefit of letting people hit a key or two for instant iTunes-like filtering.

Kinoma Play and FreePlay will also play while your phone is in that same power state. It took us a release or two to resolve all power management issues, so if you didn't have good luck with the first release you'll probably find that the current release works as you'd expect.

@Charles

Hello, I have tried out your free version and am considering purchasing the full version but there are a few things that i find lacking in the product and wonder if these are possible to address or if they will never be a feature. I love the ORB integration, its really fast great quality, but I can't stand that if I lose network connectivity and I need to restart my movie and advance to the time it was at when it dropped off i cant. not sure if I am missing something but why can i not seek when streaming orb I can when using other services on kinoma??? Big deal to me, also it would be nice to have the ability to have shuffle for music and video clips lets say i have one folder of music and start playing one song it would be nice for it to pick the next selection at random... No TV guide support with ORB? I cant watch my tv with kinoma, this i see as being a much harder addition and I guess understand the complexity to get this to work, but even if you didn't have a guide but just had the ability to play a channel number like in PIE you can enter a channel number and play it without scrolling through the guide. What about rotation when video is playing? I know this is alot but I really like your product and would buy it if some of these features were added, please get back to me and let me know if my requests/ideas are not ever able to be done, thanks -Derek-

I don't understand why not if you use pie and play in windows media or core you can seek... I hope this is a feature that can be added. I love the product but this is a major flaw in my opinion. Today I was on the train watching a tv episode 20 min into it the player stops playing and wouldnt start again started back up and made me mad that i couldn't get the watch the last 5 min of it. At least there should be a resume play button like in the web version.

Kinoma FreePlay uses FLV for Orb streaming, and that that format doesn't support random access.

Kinoma Play lets you seek, since it supports more advanced streaming formats which support that.

Both Kinoma Play and FreePlay supports music shuffle (it's the top item of every music list).

Video shuffle's an interesting feature request, but I can't quite imagine the use case right now.

Correct, we don't currently support Orb's Live TV capability.

If you have a phone with a slideout keyboard, orientation sensor or another way to rotate the screen, you can rotate your screen just before playback.

Question for you: On phones with a portrait display but without a way to rotate the screen, should Kinoma Play rotate the video to better fill the screen automatically?
