Re: PockeTwit - Twitter client

I get an out of memory error when i try to load PoweTwit. I can open quick post fine. I have a Touch Pro with about 80MB free, can it be a conflict with another app? I'm running a WM 6.1 ROM by the way. Any ideas?

If i take/load a picture, in the old versions, i would tap the picture again and it would paste the link. Now it just takes me back to the camera/photo selector. Am i an idiot, or is this a bug?

I was just about to post that. Older ver it posted the pic in an link now it takes forever to load pic and if it does u click submit and it sez pic was unable to load still post update. The easy pic loading and gps loc loading was the main reasons I stuck with this app cause I do a lot of traveling and like to send pics and gps loc but now its kinda pointless

the gps still works fine for me, but like you said, the only reason i use this client is for the picture posting and gps.

Yea the gps is fine on it. But the pic posting doesn't work and I really don't feel like having to go thru twitpic.com to upload a pic :( maybe it will be working soon...if not imma see if I'm about to send via the new sidekick lx 09 app

Re: PockeTwit - Twitter client

Win Mobile 6.1
HTC-Sprint Stock Radio and ROM

Ok, I've tried 5 popular twitter apps for my Mogul and all had some functionality that
didn't work or caused some kind of error that would cause the sound to stop working or
just clunky phone behavior in general with the exception of Twobile which was just
not what I wanted for my personal use.

I read a lot of complaints about the buginess of PockTwit. But there were also some
good comments about the app as well. Running out of options, I decided to try it out yesterday.
Ran it all last night and so far, no errors, twitpic and sound notification works, used it in tandem
with IE browsing Muni times, etc.

Only possible caveat so far is that updating error occure when already logged into twitter on another
computer; but not fully tested and not sure if that's twitter, the app, or something else, but
I don't see any real concern even if this is a feature/bug :->

So far so good. I definitely want to say thank you for developing this app. It takes just
a few minutes to get use to using a stylus, soft keys, and your finger. :-D The app
doesn't appear to cause any issues and this phone seems to be susceptible to the
slightest conflict in the Win Mobile API. I'm updating my comment on the ppc twitter thread
forum in addition to this post. But I just wanted to say thanks.

no errors, long time PockeTwit user -- I can't get the links to open up in Opera Mobile anymore -- anybody know how to change that? they are opening up in Internet Explorer - it might have something to do with my recent installation of skyfire 1.0 today.

any pointers?

it was skyfire
you need to change 2 registry keys in hkcr defbrowser and http a quick search will turn them up

answered my own question -- just went through the registry keys listed here:

http://code.google.com/p/pocketwit/w...DefaultBrowser

and assigned the stray keys back to \Windows\OperaL.exe instead of the link to Internet Explorer.

Great program. I think i started using it about...3 versions ago. but some things don't seem very intuitive.

Like if I want to reply to a tweet why cant i just click on it and hit Reply. I have to click then scroll over, click reply, yada yada.

But when I do click on a tweet, i get @Shrop2057 to come up. That's cool...but i want to reply!

DMs still not on here.

Those are really my only issues....they could do a little bit here and there but those are only small issues i've had and don't bother me much

Re: PockeTwit crashing on opening Tweetphoto links

I've searched everywhere on the net, xda, and here but can't find anyone with a similar problem.

Whenever I try to open a link from a twitter post to a tweetphoto pic, pocketwit crashes. No problems with any other services. Just tweetphoto. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and a few other setting adjusts to no avail.

I've sent the crash reports to the developer via the pocketwit's automated error report. Not much activity on the developer's site so I thought to try here.

Running stock 6.1 on a Vogue.

I have the exact same problem. Hopefully the next version will fix it.

I'm having the same problem with TweetPhoto. Really annoying since many of my friends post to TweetPhoto. About ready to switch to another app.
