Can you please recommend a video converter for me?
I have tons of movies and videos on my PC that I would like to convert to a format that works with windows media player on my Windows Mobile 6.1 handheld. I would love a free one but would be willing to pay for a great one if it came to that. Can you please give me some recommendations? All I wish to do is to be able to convert different video formats to something that will play on my QVGA handheld. (HTC Touch) Thank you very much.

Re: Can you please recommend a video converter for me?
Giveaway of the Day has VideoGet today. It is a software that lets you take videos from youtube or other video sites and download them to your computer. It also comes with a converter that can convert the video to almost any format (i put the videos on my phone and they play perfectly). It is a good steal if you get to the site before today is over! By the way.. here is there description: "VideoGet is a tool for downloading your favorite video clips from more than 100+ video websites. It supports such websites like YouTube, MySpace, Google Video, Yahoo Video, VSocial and a lot more. VideoGet also providing you with ability to convert each video in most popular formats for more comfortable video playback. VideoGet supports AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV, FLV, MP4, 3GP, MP3 file formats, so you will be able not only to view it, but also put it into your iPod, mobile phone or any other portable device." HURRY NOW IT ENDS AFTER TODAY!

Re: Can you please recommend a video converter for me?
I have tried different converters, and after all the time, effort and frustration spent, I personally settled for "Cucusoft Ultimate DVD + Video Converter Suite" (you can just use the Ultimate Video Converter if you are not going to be ripping directly from DVDs).
I play my videos on my Sprint Touch (Vogue) running WMv6.1 using CorePlayer v1.2.5 b4506 flawlessly. I play videos over 700MB in size from my 8GB SDHC card without problems. (For those having problems with CorePlayer in a Vogue, make sure you have set Menu-->Tools-->Preferences-->Select Page-->Video-->Video Output: GDI). |

check out pocket divx encoder. I've used it forever with TCMP (make sure options -> video -> Raw Frame buffer is checked on the vouge)

Re: Can you please recommend a video converter for me?
I love SUPER. The UI is ghetto and tough to figure out at first (hint: right click to find the functions)...even the website is hard to understand and it's difficult to find the download link.
BUT, it is free and very powerful. There is a pre-set template for PPC conversions but I would recommend raising the bitrate higher than what they recommend because frankly we have the space for it and that bitrate looks nasty. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html |

But, it has no malware. It's pretty popular software. Lots of people use it. It's even recommended here by other people in OP's other thread on HowardForums: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=11293600# I've run it for years now. No issues with malware. |
