It's funny how these diamond builds are better than the true Opera beta. Alot less bugs and flash is enabled. I like this build, been using it since yesterday. I think it is better than 1522, but thats just my two cents.](*,)

running great for me

I really like it a lot better too! It seems a little faster and doesn't have the notification bug thats in the "official" beta.

Re: Diamond Opera v9.5 Build 1660

Works great, the Flash is ok...not all flash works, but some does. Youtube works technically. The video plays, but really choppy and no option for fullscreen. With other sites that have flash, they say that my version of flashplayer is outdated and I need to update, where with other sites the flash will work fine. The SIP for this build pops up randomly ALOT. It's good that they fixed the other SIP problem though, so now my PCM Keyboard comes up as opposed to the diamond keyboard. I'll stick with 1660 since it seems to be more feature rich than 1522.

This one works much better for me then the official beta version, since I like the skin from the beta, I decided to use that with this build... If anyone else wants to do that, just simply drop this file into your \Windows\Opera9\skins folder (do not extract the file)

Re: Diamond Opera v9.5 Build 1660

Yea I have to say this one runs a bit more stable with all the other stuff being pretty much the same. (Such as the flash and the SIP problem)

Doesn't that mean you can uninstall the program?

Im pretty sure that means it CAN be "uninstalled". Most of the previous builds have said uninstallable, and could be uninstalled. If it said "un-uninstallable" then we might have something to worry about.......

Re: Diamond Opera v9.5 Build 1660

Don't worry, it is uninstallable. Already uninstalled , then reinstall. No worries!

This seems to be great...just because im not getting any memory errors yet. but i think im still getting the notification problem? is anybody else? Ok now this really sucks...even with it uninstalled i still dont get any notifications?

No1ustad 07-25-2008 04:27 AM

Re: Diamond Opera v9.5 Build 1660

ah. misread. i'm used to the older builds being not uninstallable. would annoy me to the point that i'd hard reset just to get rid of it properly...

time to dl!

can somebody tell me where i can get flash from?

Re: Diamond Opera v9.5 Build 1660

You can get flash from Adobe.
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/

I installed Flash 7, but YouTube still doesn't work for me. It tells me it's not installed eventhough it is. If I try YouTube from PIE, Windows Media Player pops up and just shows a black screen but no video....very weird.

Anyone know why ytpocket no longer shows thumbnails for the videos?

Opera 9.5_QVGA_SD freezes on Asus P535 WM6.1.
All I could see was the splash screen.
It is uninstallable...

I have tried this version and it works great part of the time. The problem that I have is that if it ever crashes it will not reload until I soft reset. And I find it does crash more often than the offical reslease on my Bell Touch

Can you folks load and navigate cnn.com with 1660? I had no problem with any other version, and this one is great most of the time, but I just can't get cnn.com to work. :(

Any users of the Touch(Vogue) notice in portrait mode it is zoomed in to close by default. Its only somewhat usable in landscape mode for me.

Mine is the same in landscape and portrait. You can adjust the zoom settings in opera:config under adaptive zoom . Mine is set like this Max zoom 112 , min overveiw zoom 30 , min zoom 100. The smaller the number the less zoom.

Is there anyway to set it to act like a desktop instead of a mobile device?

Where is this setting area for adaptive zoom?

All I see under settings is Start Page, Display, Privacy, and Advanced and none of those has a sub-category for any kind of zoom.

I dont have any problems between portrait and landscape, I just want to maybe make it so that when I double tape to zoom in, it doesnt zoom as close in as it does.

In the address bar type opera:config and that takes you to the main settings. Adaptive Zoom is the first option.

You need to install Opera Mobile 9.5 to Main memory for Flash to work. The SD version doesn't see the Flash plugins for some reason.

Ooooh....I never did install it in main memory....well, going to have to try it and kiss 8 MB of my memory good bye....

By default...do the versions up for download in here store the cache on the memory card by default or do I have to doctor with it so it will put it there instead?

Same problem as well on my Bell touch, try re-installing 1522 but it didn't help.

I've had this happen, though not very often. The reason it won't restart is because it's actually still running. Check "Running Programs" in the Memory application under Settings tab. You'll find Opera is still running. End the task and you can restart Opera. No soft-reset needed.

I tried downloading a file from Rapidshare and it instantly went to a green checkmark and did not download. Any ideas?

Also, tried to watch a video preview of the upcoming Dexter S3 and said I needed flash hmm

Little problem since I did the opera:config zoom amount editing.

Some times Opera will open up but won't connect to the internet. I open up Explorer, MSN, check mail, then all work but not Opera.

It will work on and off after trying over and over.

I didn't mess with anything but the zoom.
Any ideas?

Everytime i get a new build i change the zoom , turn turbo mode on, delete cache on exit , and some others. I have never had that problem. I have been doing this since opera 9.33. After you make the changes you got to exit out of Opera, then restart it.

I love this browser, takes a bit of getting used to was used to picsel browsers double click for links so every now and then opening stuff I didn't want. And I notice mention of config tweaks anything worth doing? I did a search but came up with no sugestions just a 50 page thing on what stuff does in the config menu :-p

These or the setting i change in config. Someone elses may be different.

Disk cache = Empty on exit

Performance= Max sever connections 10
Max connections total 10

Users prefs= Automatic RAM cache checked
Maximum allowed tabs 6
Tubro Mode checked

Seems to work better for me. I talked about the zoom earlier in this thread. Just adjust
how you like. On the Max allowed tabs i wouldn't go anymore than 6. After you make your changes exit then restart.
