Yahoo! Go 2.0 for WM - 07/26

As Alienwhere mentioned it is only for portait smartphone devices right now. It shoeld be available in April for regular PPC and landscape smartphone devices. :)

Ah, following the link to yahoo's go site, it lists many WM5 PPC phones, including the 6700. However, I can not get the link at all in order to download. It detects I'm a Verizon user and says I need to go to a certain website on my Verizon phone's browser. Use opera and have tried both identifiers and still no link to the download. So if someone gets the download, please post. Thanks in advanced.

I read that as well, but it didn't make sense to me that yahoo would have a page displaying the devices that work with yahoo go, but never actually let you download it.

It downloaded fine on my Samsung IP830W.

Any new news on this for the 700wx or does anyone know where the original cab is that people had for the WX

i was on the yahoo site, trying to download this, and still i'm getting the same problem as some of u got before. I'm using xv6700, i've done it both ways, through the net on the comp. and through the net on the phone. It still says that it's not supported for the phone and that it'll b available in April. So i guess we'll just have to wait and c when it'll come out.

I think this is the file for the old WM5, I found it on our FTP site...

The new PPC version is not out yet, just the Smartphone version.

WARNING: Anyone could have uploaded that CAB file to the FTP site, I think I recognize the file name but I make no guarantees.

I think I put it up there, but if someone finds it isn't the old version, I have it on my PC.

The old version still works real nice for syncing contacts and calendar - I use it all the time.

May 1st hasn't even gone by yet... I doubt they would release on the first of the month anyway.

The message still says it will be released in April. I wonder if they're still planning on releasing it at ALL? If they were actively working on it, wouldn't they update the communication?

Where do you see April? The site: http://mobile.yahoo.com/go/phones?os=wm only says Coming Soon on the PPC phones.

If you access the link on your mobile phone, you'll get the message that Yahoo Go 2.0 Gamma for 240x320 devices should be available in April...

Yup and I been checkin everyday almost since the end of march. Here it is May, and still nothing. I wonder if theyre holding out for WM6?

I will try it out, but I will more then likely uninstall as I have had no problems with the IMAP yahoo mail version.

So much for that rumor.... I can't believe the Yahoo development team. How can a project be more than 2 months late??? Yahoo Go 2.0 was initially set to release in APRIL for WM5 PPC.

Yahoo even sent me an email saying 'it's finally ready'. I opened the email, it said to 'click here for a text message'; I did, got a text message, replied, and it said still not available for 6700. So, 2 text charges later against my 500 . . . . . no Yahoo Go

I too have been checkin since April for the download but no luck. Yahoo developers need to push out a demo at least! :wink:

I looked on yahoo's page today for the go app and the mogul finally shows up on the "comming soon" list..

If you're like me and can't wait. There's a way that you can use an imap account to get your mail in the meantime pushed to you..

Yahoo sucks in my opinion, they even had an official statement with an official release date for the WM PPC version and they failed to meet it and give more info.

Good thing I don't use them...

just trying t provide an alternative to those like me that use yahoo and are stuck waiting on them to release a solution

No, don't get me wrong. I was just expressing frustration towards Yahoo not meeting their release date over and over again.

oh... no offense taken.. im pissed too.. just like imma be pissed that I bought this mogul knowing it was rev a upgradeable but I know full well that sprint isn't gonna put out a firmware update for this phone.. they're gonna come out w/ a new phone instead and make us upgrade

yahoo go 2.0 is out for sprint moto q. i wonder if the ppc phones will follow soon.

The Smartphone version has been out for a while, the PPC version has been delayed over and over again.

Yahoo even posted an official release date. Nothing was released and we did not hear from them either.

Just wanted to check if Yahoo Go is available and surprise, it now tells me that Yahoo Go will not be supported for this PDA (700wx). Gives me a prompt which ships an email that tells me what phones are comaptible.
