Torx, DO NOT PURCHASE WeatherPanel. The developer has been missing for 2+ years, you will not receive a registration code. You would lose your money.

At this point the trial does not expire so there's nothing to worry about.

It has been brought up to my attention that if WP is purchased from the MarsWare site you may get a registration code. I will do some more research on the matter.

In no way I mean to take revenue from the developer, I just did not want anyone to lose their money.

The fact still remains though, that the developer has been missing for 2+ years, and even if we buy a registration code, we are paying for what we have now and most likely will not receive further updates to WP itself from the developer.

It is also worth mentioning, that WP checks against the MarsWare server every time it updates, so at the moment that server goes down (MarsWare's forums went down some time ago, the main site was still up last time I checked), WP may stop working.

Anyway, that was the latest info I have... although it may be a little outdated.

hahha, yep i installed son-of-c last night.. wonderful!
blends with the background, displays 4 days, and bigger pictures!

after immediate install, it wasnt scaled horizontally properly, so all i did was adjust it from bottom to top on the today screen config, and it scaled wide properly and displayed 4 days instead of 3. Just FYI to those curious.

If this ever happens, I'll release a little program that I developed called WP-Auth (from Uranusware, of course :wink: )

When installed, it will bypass the Marsware authorization step - rerouting the authorization request to another IP address (my company). I haven't auth'ed at Marsware for over 6 months... :D

Wow, that's great to know. Marsware Authorization has been a concern of all of us that were around when Martian vanished.
Sort of like waiting for a ticking clock to stop, but, so far it keeps ticking!

I wonder if there is a way to stop the checks and route the checks to possibly weather.com instead.

The weather info does come from weather.com IIRC, WP just checks against the MarsWare server to make sure the app is valid or something like that.
