Other than that, it passes the single-column page rendering test with flying colors unlike Opera 9.5

Again, what is this single-column page rendering test? Where can I find it?

I completely agree....:headbang:

Why the hell they removed the fantastic bottom toolbar? ](*,)
The M$ 'soft keys' is the WORST thing they introduced since WM5...:protest:
I always disable them in apps that have the option to do that like Resco Explorer and the previous version of NetFront 3.5...

Hope they will reintroduce the toolbar in the next release....=D>
Is there a way to contact the support to tell them?

Beside those things NF3.5 is THE BROWSER.... The rendering speed is amazing even if you play around with the scroll...
Far better than Opera 9.5...

Is that so? How can you know when there's no official version out yet?

Oh, you are comparing an official test version of NetFront with a leaked pre-alpha build of Opera that was never even intended to be run on your phone (it's only for the HTC Diamond)? Not exactly a fair comparison...

And I'm still wondering what this colum test that EtherealRemnant was referring to is.

This has taken over Opera Mini for me. 2 Great browsers.

I'm just comparing the two latest builds of these browsers....:???:
And both of them are using directdraw for rendering... I'm testing them
with my x51v WM6.1 A07 LennySh build that has hardware accelerated DirectDraw as HTC Diamond I suppose... And I don't expect to see different version for different devices...So It doesn't seem to me an unfair competition...

That's just my two cents...

Cheers!

No, you are comparing a browser that has been officially released to the public, and a browser which has been leaked, and was never intended to be used by you in the first place.

HTC said that they had been working on a custom browser with Opera. That it works on anything else is just a coincidence.

Unfair? It is useless. Opera isn't even supposed to be out yet.

I haven't received any errors regarding memory yet. It seems like there are a lot of customization options that I don't understand, but I am still playing around with it. One thing I am still trying to figure out is why it seems to load pages kinda slow. Is it because I using full browsing mode.

To my knowledge, the biggest upside of NF browser is that you can visit a secure site without it going through a 3rd party server. I also believe there are plugins available for flash.

Well, I'm getting more memory errors than I would like. Thinking about dumping Netfront and sticking with PIE and Opera Mini.

Question though; I set Netfront as default browser and when removed it screwed my url file associations. Using Netfront didn't seem to help in setting up associations. Any registry edits I could do to get this set back to PIE?

I had the same problem. Just install it again and with it running, set it to be not the default browser, then uninstall it. This will bring the associations back to PIE.
