Open Opera. Type "opera:config" (without the quotes) into the address bar. Wait a few seconds. You will then get the advanced configuration page within Opera. To make the changes he mentions, go to User Settings.

I also changed the Max Server Connections to 10, as well as the Max Allowed to 10 under "Performance". Seems to improve the speed somewhat.

Yes, it stomped over everything that used to be PIE...

I'd love to keep it around because there *are* some nice things about it, but I cannot have it unilaterally deciding to replace PIE everywhere. There is at least one app that I like just the way it is (or was), but now after installing 9.5, Opera has apparently decided to take over all HTML rendering duties and it has really messed up this one app (Weather Watcher). I need to either be able to undo the PIE-stomping, or else remove 9.5 entirely... Suggestions appreciated...

I've spent some running through the Registry (and seeing all the places that 9.5 has inserted itself (it is horrifying)), but for every obvious entry that I revert back to PIE, it doesn't fix my problem with Weather Watcher... UGH...

I was already using Opera 9.405 on my HTC Touch, and I was wondering what major difference would be with build 781. But man there are a lot of differences. Little things but nice little things, Dare I say that this is the best mobile Web Browser I have ever used, and I think I have tried them all... for the HTC Touch anyway. Great Job Opera and for who ever found this new build.

Nice browser finally. I've been pissed looking at netfront and opera mini for the past year. This app needs a little more refinement and it'll be enough to keep me from walking out on WM altogether. When I'm pressing and/or double tapping in the open space of a web page my keyboard keeps popping up. That is undesired. Anyone know if I'm doing anything wrong by simply tapping/double-tapping the screen or could that be a developer's glitch?

get back into your registry editor and go to HKCR and do a search for operaL. change all back to iexplore (except for what pertains specifically to opera). the ones I ended up changing included .htm, .html, file, ftp, http, https, icoimage, xhtmlfile -- both under DefaultIcon and Shell/Open/Command. Weather watcher now opens in PIE for me.

Thanks... That is what I thought I should do, but I guess that I wasn't thorough enough... and its good to know that it *will* work to do this...

Re: Opera Mobile 9.5 build 781!!

Flash works!!!

Really bad... non-mobile youtube has the flash content in it, but videos kinda start freaking out, the youtube player loads, but the video for some reason doesn't, the little circle thing in the middle keeps spinning. I had much better luck with opera mobile 8.65, the video would actualy start playing, but the frame rates were horrible, and the audio... actualy kinda worked... so until the video drivers come out, flash isn't worth getting, and opera mobile 9.5 just doesn't do too good with flash videos at all.
