after messing with it about any chance i got at work i got the opera mobile 4.1 up and running on my 6800 with alltel.

for anyone interested, just go to http://mini.opera.com/?alt=1&rel=4 and download one(i did the first one, not sure if it really matters, but these are the signed versions so no security BS comes up). then i just followed the steps from this from xda: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384271

stick with it and it will work. follow the directions on those links exactly and you'll be all set with opera mini working and being the default browser for everything.

is this supposed to be better than opera 9.5? to me, 9.5 run way better

No, but it's free, out of beta, and has a very small footprint... Opera Mini is just very impressive...

How do people handle sites that have pop ups or what can u do about them? Sometimes the pop up is the whole screen and it says pop up in the upper left corner of the screen, but there is nothing there but a blank white page!

i just hit back, and then proceed again to my desired page.

thanks to everybody at ppcgeeks.com that helps out with as much patience as you can muster with us newbies. i now have jbed, operamini (signed), sMMS (sometimes), youtube, thestreamcenter.com, and spb mobile shell on my mogul, thanks to you guys. i don't think i need anything else except for the next one that comes out.

Hi how come when i run opera mini 4.1.1135 and JBed_20080328.31
with the fix
It's still asking me about internet permission. Does anybody know how to make it work.
