Seriously, I appreciate the offer, but it's not necessary. Keep your money and just enjoy the app. I enjoyed building it and I learned something from it.

I don't believe Sirius offers a channel 107, however, there is a "Blue Collar Radio" on channel 103 that may be what you're looking for.

Thanks for the ideas. I will keep them in mind. The proxy is an interesting idea. I'd have to look deeper into that.

Found this thread again after a few months. I'd been using this program to stream Sirius with excellent results for the past few months.

I'm using a Touch Pro on the Sprint Network.

After "upgrading" to the couple of new roms that have come out recently, I'm unable to log in. I can (about half the time) see the security letters (is that what you mean by captcha?), but can't get past them. I'm getting the error message "Unable to connect. Please make sure your user information is correct, and you have a valid network connection"

Now, I know that there've been some changes with Sirius in past few weeks.

So I have quite the pickle; is it Sprint, the new roms, or Sirius that's causing the problem? Is it some combo?

When I re-flash or hard reset the phone, I'm able to log in the first few times, making me thing that it's Sprint's network that's "remembering" me (I'm a total noob, so please forgive my lack of understanding of the issue).

I tried using the exe from post #319, but I get the same result.

Just letting everyone know that this exists with a Sprint user. When I get home I'll try logging in through wi-fi, which may help in determining if it's actually Sprint causing it, or the Rom, or Sirius...:drunken:

Which channels are you referring to? Sirius doesn't offer all of it's channels online, so I'll need you to be a little more specific. C-ApiSRO can only play the channels that Sirius and XM offer through their online streams.

As far as Blue Collar goes, if you are talking about channel 103 not playing then I'm not really sure what your issue is. I'm streaming that channel as I type this message. The best thing to do is capture the log files and mail them to me.

out of all of the features and enhancements I could possibly ask for, my biggest gripe still is the fact that the app still seems to freeze. with starplayr, i never had any issue leaving the app while it was running in the background and coming back to it, or even just stopping the stream.

with your app, if i go to the today screen, the only way to get back to the app is through a task manager and 9 out of 10 times, it will take 30+ seconds to stop a stream. man times the app becomes unresponsive too. sometimes you can't even stop the stream.

also, when the app is unresponsive, but the stream active, sometimes it doesn't even show up in the task manager.

i've tried stopping a stream by killing the app and what will happen is the app will disappear from the task list and then the stream will eventually die, but as soon as it does, the app reappears in the task list!

I will do my best to fix this, but I don't seem to have these problems. Sure, once in a great while my player will pause, but it always comes back, and never to the point of having to reboot or kill the program. Not being able to reproduce the problem will make it harder for me to fix. I may have to do a special build for you if I can't figure this out.

A new build (v2.0.5) has been published in the original post. There is nothing new in this build except one fix for Alltel customers when they experience captcha problems.

Was hoping this fix would maybe take care of the issue I'm having but it didn't. It worked for a couple days, then quit. I get stuck at the captcha screen as well. I'm running a Samsung i760 on Verizon. Luckily the Sirius WM5 program still works but am anxious to use C-ApiSRO, the interface is 100x better.

i haven't written any code for WinMo but several things come to mind as to why i have these problems. first and foremost seems to be the way that the app authenticates with the service. once it has authenticated, it never tries again. there's obviously some timeout on their end to keep from streams eating up their bandwidth 24x7. i don't think the app does enough to deal with this.

second, there may be too much dependency on win media player to reliably play the stream and not enough communication back to the app as to the state of the stream. i know in vb you can access calls to imbedded windows functions like playing windows media content. is this similar to what you are doing?

lastly, i think the application should do a little more to check it's own state by making sure it's healthy, the stream is healthy and when things interrupt it like a phone call, to not freak out and crash. 9 times out of 10, if i change a channel after several hours of listening, the app will crash.

it's possible that all of my problems are because i run the application 9 hours a day. and if it crashes within those 9 hours, some memory leak somewhere is causing extra problems that other people aren't seeing.

R-Capi,
Would it be possible to modify the login screen to take less space, or at least move the captcha to the top? I have the save user information saved so i never need to enter that more than once. However every time I open the application I need to enter a captcha and my keyboard hides the captcha phrase. Sometimes I fat finger the keyboard or forget the captcha and I have to hide the keyboard to see it again. Basically the only way to login is to use a stylist. The finger friendly keyboards get in the way of the captcha.

Yes that is possible, and very easy to do. I will make that change.

You are a life saver! Thank you for your hard work with this app! I have one question, and forgive me if it has been asked, but when I attempt to load channel 39 (formerly Pop2k, now Backspin) I get an error message. Is this stream going to be made available? Thanks again for everything!

Firstly, Great program! I love that I'm able to listen to Sirius programming on my Touch Pro.
I glanced through the thread and have not seen anything regarding the 'Best of ' channels. I was wondering if there's a way of adding the Best of XM channels in the program?

Hi,

I'm trying really hard researching my problem but my xm channels don't always load or have a long delay between the play button and the streaming audio coming out of the speaker. Any ideas/settings issues?

C-ApiSRO can only offer up those channels that Sirius or XM make available for their online stream. If the "Best Of" channels are accessable online via the actual SiriusXM online player then they should be available from C-ApiSRO.

There have been other XM users with this problem and, unfortunately, we have never truly nailed down the reason. It appears to be an issue related to your phone proivider network, but I haven't been able to find what it is.

What I need is you to do is send some log files with all of the details about your phone, cell provider, etc, so that I can look at it. Try to capture network traffic too, if that's possible. Get as much information you can about the problem and e-mail me the results. I may be able to find a solution.

One thing you could try is to go into the C-ApiSRO settings and click the XM tab. There is an option to use the IP address for XM. Enable that option to see if that solves your problem. What it will do is remove the need to do a DNS lookup through your network, which could speed things up.

Try disabling "High Speed" in the menu. For some reason there are a few XM channels that won't stream in high speed. If there is no check mark next to the "High Speed" menu option then you are running low speed. That may fix your problem.

This sounds like you are having problems with your cell provider network. Try to capture some log files and e-mail them to me so I can take a closer look. You are correct; those channels are offered by Sirius as the "Best of XM' package. When I released C-ApiSRO I didn't include those channels as a default, because I do not have a subscription to "The Best of XM." This also means I never tested those channels.

In theory, if you clear your channel cache you should see those channels the next time you log into Sirius. Go to Settings->Sirius tab and click the "Clear Channel Cache" button to clear your cache.

Let me know what happens.

You must first enable logging by going into settings and clicking the "Enable Logging" option. Then restart C-ApiSRO, log in, and try to play a channel. After recreating the problem, go back into settings and turn off logging.

Log files can be found in the "Program files\C-ApiSRO\log" folder. YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO LOG FILES if C-ApiSRO is running or you have logging enabled, so make sure you shut C-ApiSRO down or disable logging to read or delete the log file.

Make sure you turn logging off after reproducing the problem, or C-ApiSRO will consume precious file space from your phone.

Mail me whatever is in that log folder and I'll take a look.

Re: C-ApiSRO - Sirius/XM Satellite Radio for PocketPC (PPC)

Hello and thanks to everyone for this great thread.
I have a FUZE and was having no problems at all with the 2 different apps I had installed to listen to Sirius Satellite radio. Recently both stopped working and will not connect.

I HAVE upgraded my Sirius account and am able to listen to Sirius online on my normal computer, but no longer on my Fuze.

- the star player seems to not work at all anymore
- the SiriusWM5 player also seems to not be working any more

I listen to Sirium EVERY single morning when at the gym, so not having this work anymore is a big disappointment to me.

SO - I installed this app and it looks great on my FUZE, but it does not seem to work correctly. I try to log in and the channels are all wrong, so I went to the Sirius settings and Cleared channel cashe to get new channels. I closed program and reopened and now it will not show any channels at all, just a blank white square.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone!
