V3 has been great and I can kill my friend with his iPhone on typing speed, which in some ways makes it that much better. In fact the iPhone keyboard, despite the multi touch screen, feels clunky in comparison to touchpal. Cootek definitely has me hooked on their keyboards.

On another note though. Has anyone had their TouchPal V3 go back into trial mode all of sudden and your registration key disappear? Now I can't register touchpal even with my reg code... I went on their forums and 4 other people had this problem. It's kind of annoying.

Yea, that happened to me about 2 days ago & had to reinstall everything including the "classic" skin.

Happened to me too. I tried uninstall/re-install but still had the same issue. I've emailed them twice now and so far no response. Not scoring any points for customer service yet. Hopefully I'll hear from them soon to get this resolved.

On a positive note, I did receive a response today and it did require a new reg code. Not sure why since the old one worked on the same device for months now, but I have more confidence in their customer service now.

I just had the same thing happen. I've written and I am waiting for a replacement reg code to arrive. It appears to be a 15-day bug where the prog reverts to Standard even if you have registered as Professional.
I think their customer service is pretty good. They told me they got swamped with V3 issues and have had trouble keeping up.

I got a response from CooTek, and they are aware of the registration issue.
The fix is simple:
For V2 upgraded users, please ask them to send the old reg code, the new reg code and their reg email address to upgrade@cootek.com
For V3 purchased users, please ask them to send the registration email, owner name and reg code to paypal@cootek.com .

Edit: to get your new registration (V2 to V3 upgrade) go here http://www.cootek.com/upgrade.aspx and follow the directions.

Hope this saves someone a headache!! :drunken:

I tried this software and really do not like it. maybe cause i use a titan and not a touche like most of you. Seems like the PCM keyboard with skins is so much easier to use. the keys on the standard keyboard are awkward to use IMO.

hi all. i downloaded v2 a while ago.
it was free then. i want to do the free upgrade but cannot locate the reg cpodes.
does anyone have any ideas??
i went into system/personal/input. but couldnt get a no. from anywhere

Its still free there is just a free version and pay version. Just install the new version and it should uninstall the previous version or install on top of it.

I felt like everytime I used the PCM Keyboard with Opera Mini, my phone would have high chances of freezing up.

Going to give this a try, now I just need to get used to the interface.

does this work with the new sprint leaked rom for touch? i installed it twice but dont see it in the drop down menu

There are different builds for WM6 and WM6.1
Use the latest update from today 05/14/08 and select the WM6.1 version or get it from the cootek website and get the 6.1 version. Your registration code should work.

do youn have a mogul. wondeting if that might be the problem. when i the keyboard comes up i can see a few letters but its all garbage
