O2 Plus (Different Today Screen, & many other functions)
2 Attachment(s)
Ok this is a neat little program that comes installed on other HTC devices. But someone has come up with a fix so it works on our Apache. As far as I can tell its similar to many other today screen programs. Its does make accessing somethings easier plus battery and memory meters on the today screen. It also adds the following to the device.
1. An application manager that shows active programs as icons so you can quickly select and close them. 2. A scheduler that allows you to activate sound profiles, call divert profiles, Bluetooth state and flight mode state at the date and time you want. For example, you can divert all calls to your phone to the office phone on every weekday at 9am. 3. Application modules running at Today page that provide information about name of network, last call, battery, memory, alarms, appointments and provide control ability on call diversion, sound profile, application launcher and running applications. You can read further on what it includes HERE along with more screen shots. Screen Shot Heres a screen shot. http://www.seeo2.com/resources/xdaAt...o2pv2_ss01.jpg Install Instructions 1. Download the attachment to either ur pc or ppc. (if downloaded to pc activsync the file over to the ppc.) 2. Run the 1_o2p202200106_wm5s.cab and let it install. You will have to reset the device after the install. (note: you will get an error saying its only for O2 devices, just ignore it. The program is installed but your today screen will look the same until after step 3) 3. Run the 2_O2Plus.v2.0.Patch.cab and let it install. It will say you have to reset, just hit ok in the bottom left hand corner. 4. After reset you now should a a totally different looking today screen. (note some of the old today screen plug-ins will still be there (ex. outlook) these can be removed by going to start/settings/today/items and select what u want to show from the orginal today screen) |

|

I love this program. I love seeing what programs are running and then being able to easily shut them down. I had profiles set up on my husband's 6700 so that when he was about ready to drive home his bluetooth would automatically power up for his ear piece and it would automatically power off shortly after getting home.
Here are the files I used to install it. |
I tested the here link and it works fine wingzero. ninjamom what's that .rar u posted? btw .rar posted to the board don't dload correctly it best to use .zip compression ;)

Yeah, tried at home and the link works. Hmm..I guess the computer at work is blocking that site. sorry.
|
Yeah, the link in the original post is broken for me as well, I have tried a couple things, but it is a little late to be trouble-shooting.
|
I cant download that file either. I all ready have it saved so I don't need it, but I tried it this morning, it doesn't work. Thats weard. :confused2:
|
Ok it was the download and not the link in the text, my bad.....I was lost hehe. Its now fixed guys. ;) Thanks for letting me know.
~mike |
Hell yeah I download it and it looks awesome tnx guys!
|
props on this. i have been looking for something like this for awhile
|
Has anyone who loaded this had trouble with the O2 buttons disappearing. I successfully installed, it worked great for 2 days :D , then the O2 buttons on the today screen wouldn't load  . I re-installed twice, and the same thing happened within minutes both times.
Just wondering I thought it was a great little program, until the buttons disappeared. Just wondering if anyone else had any of the same issues. (back to magic button for me!) |

I am playing the the 2.3 version. Pretty slick little app. Has anyone had success getting the scheduled events to work. I keep trying different combinations of times tasks, but the scheduled time comes and goes with nothing changing.
|
same here hmmmm I wonder. :?
|
well, looks like it works if you set it enought in advance to let the event be "stored" and then do a soft reset. This worked for me, but I am still testing to see if it is a time thing or if you have to soft reset to get the event "stored".
|
nice observation soft reset, and it worked like a charm. ;)
|
Yeah, it doesn't seem to matter how much time you give it. A soft reset will do the trick right away.
Is there any documentation on this app as far as help and settings or was it just pulled from another ROM? The other thing I am trying to figure out is the "Divert Profile". Where do you set this up? I see that you can schedule it to change, but I do not see the settings. Or, do you just have to name a contact Office? |

Ok, I have found that in version 2.0 you can edit the divert profiles. You can also edit them at HKCU\Software\O2. However, it seems that you cannot select them or switch to them with the schedule. I am assuming that this function was designed to integrate with the O2 Rom. I am not sure if my Apache can even handle call forwarding.
So, it appears that the 2.3 version is the way to go and just ignore the Divert Profile stuff. What would be nice is to find out how to add more options to the "Sound and Notification" profiles to be more like PhoneAlarm. Regardless, this app does provide some great functions at a relatively small memory footprint. |
I was on another website and found a cab for o2 plus v 2.3. I installed it and it appears that whoever created or found the cab, butchered the features because its incomplete. Does anyone know where we can download the newer version of this program. I want it because it now allows you to change your theme when changing profiles. So you can have a work theme, and have everything set to vibrate. Then when you go home, you can have a different theme and have all of your sounds go to the highest volume.
Any help is greatly appreciated! -s Edit: Duh, found the 2.3 version found on the first page of the thread. Testing now! |
2.3 allows you to change themes when a scheduled event happens. I do not remember if you could do this with the full version, but it is in the first post. You just have to install both parts to get it to work.

O2 Plus

I have a pdf file 'O2_Plus_User_Manual'. Don't remember where I got it as I've been using O2 Plus for a while. If anyone is interested in it, let me know or if someone can advise me how to post it here. I've been here a while but never posted any files. How big is the file? You might be able to just zip it and upload it. Were you ever able to get the Divert Profiles to work?
|
Does anyone know if the profiles portin of the software can be used to change the bluetooth on or off? I haven't tried v2.3, but it looks like 2.0 does not have that ability.
|
Not in the actual profiles, but you can in the schedules. So, you can schedule events to occur once or daily and that can change the profile and other stuff like bluetooth.
|
So close...I would love to have the ability to have many profiles each with different settings, ie bluetooth, WiFi, etc. There is a program besides phonealarm that does this called Profiles but it will not work for me on AKU 3.3. When it is enabled on the Today Screen, every soft reset makes the today screen blank, as in all of the plugins do not show.
|
So my bottom line question is...will it work on the 700wx?
|
There's only 1 way to find out... ;)
|
I have read the thread, and got my schedules to stick after doing a soft-reset, but i still cannot get the scheduled event to happen.
I have it set to switch to a 'work' profile m-f at 7:30am, and then switch to my 'normal' profile m-f at 4:30pm, but the switch never takes place... any ideas? |

How about posting on the phoneAlarm support forum (http://www.pocketmax.net/smf/index.php) - then you would get a much quicker answer  |
700wx
First post here, hello all!
Tested the O2 ver 2.3 and it works great on 700wx. So easy to add programs. Awesome tool. Thanks to OP for posting this |

Well, as soon as I installed v2.3, I can no long sync with my PC. I ran the Activsync troubleshooter and it stated that it cannot obtain an IP address from my mobile device. I'm using a 700WX.
|
Figured out what happened. When I loaded v2.3, it performed a USB switch on me. Now I can safely say that I like this app!
|
Wow, this little app is great! I love all the functionality it has, especially the shortcuts on the today screen. I'm using the 2.3 version on a 6700 (sprint) and it worked flawlessly. If i ever have time to mess with building a custom rom, this will go in it.
