PocketAge
This is another multitab launcher. I use it as one of the sides/tabs in Ultimate Launch. Benefits: very lite app, very user friendly (once you figure it out,) easy to customize look & feel. Also, personally I like the idea of an iPhone-like launcher that is thumb-friendly & not cluttered with text or a need to run some other type of theme or huge app.
link to CAB file - for some reason I am having trouble uploading to ppcgeeks myself http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=1893668 There are no instructions, but I have done okay so far. After you run CAB either select it as your today plugin or if you're adding as a tab in UL - DO NOT check as today plugin, instead add as a tab in UL config. You should see a small icon which brings you to PocketAge settings. Here you find New Tab, New Item, PocketAge settings, Today Settings & About Pocketage. If you plan to use this as an iPhone-like launcher go to PocketAge settings and change "PocketAGE height" to 268 (pixels) for full screen. This is for my Apache. Pixels may be varied based on your phone. Then change "tab font" to 58. Then check "Tabs at Bottom" box. Before you start adding tabs and Items I recommend having your Icons loaded. I used Torx iphone icons because they are in tga format. In your Program Files\PocketAGE\Icons folder you will see "App" & "Tab" folders. Also, a settings.tga icon below the folders. Save any icon you wish as system.tga to replace the small icon you just used to change PocketAGE settings. Then place the other three icons you want to be next to the settings Icon in your "Tab" folder. And all other icons in your "App" folder. Go back to PocketAGE settings and choose new tab, click on the little box to chose your icon, then either name the tab or go text-free like the screenshot and delete the words "New Tab" The easiest way to add Items is to right-click (press & hold) your blank screen, first select "Move/Resize Items" so you can line 'em up. then right-click again and choose "Add" Then check the box at the bottom for "Custom" and pick your 1st icon. Next, click the "..." box and choose the application to assign to that tab. Repeat as necessary! |
