dint see any reference to this cool freebie.
Mocha softs FTP Server for Windows Mobile. this is awesome. This used to be a paid software I believe. download it here

It's not required. One thing that sucks is that you can set the starting directory for a user, but I don't see a way to keep them there. A user can go back up the directory tree above the starting directory and basically browse the entire device.

Yup. also I have seen that even if i do set the start folder, when i access it from IE, it goes to the root folder. it goes to the right folder when i acces it from windows explorer. dont know why.

stupid question. I get different IP numbers when I open the app., depending upon whether my data connection is on or not. What do I need to do to set this up right?

Your gonna need your data connection up and working. Then just put ur IP into the hostname on your ftp client. I highly suggest you go to File/Settings and uncheck anonymous and go a head and add and user and password to the device, using these to login to your ppc.
