NEVER MIND - I just updated to a newer cab. Duh! Sorry for the trouble.
I know I am not blind or stupid but all it gives me in the advanced settings are:
Anadvanced box with Subject - Message - Recepient - Save location - Enable intercept - sent confirmation

Aha! My next suggestion was going to be to check to see if you have the latest version, as that option was added in the last couple of updates.

I installed the program on my HTC touch Sprint WM 6.1.
Even though my picmail account works on the sprint website the SMMS software on my phone is saying ( username and password do not match )

Does this only work after the donation has been made?

No, it should work right away.
I would double check your user name and password as I did not have any issue...once I got my password correct.

Also make sure you clock SAVE and not OK after you add the password to the Settings Screen.
