I'm just wondering if they are going to somehow charge for this service through your carrier. They ask for your phone number when you sign up, and when you look at their user agreement, there is a section that says pricing, but when you click there, it say 'coming soon'

I don't want to install this and then three months from now there is a charge on my bill because I clicked that I agreed to their terms of use and now they're billing me.

Does anyone know whether they plan on charging people to use their program/services/website???

I am been playing around with ComVu, it's not bad. I have not shared out my live broadcasting site with anybody to have them watch, just been doing my own testing/playing around with it.

Phone as streaming webcam

I see there are programs out there that allow you to connect your phone to a computer and then use it as a web cam but....

Is there a way to use the phone as a webcam that doesn't need to be connected to a computer?

Our crews in the field have these phones but no computers and it would be great to beable to have them send live video from thier phones back to the office when problems arise. Is this possible?

Go to livecast.com. This does EXACTLY what you're looking for... and it's FREE. Go there set up a free account. It's pretty self-explanatory at that point. They can use the vid camera on their phone, while anyone in the world watches it in the site you set up... again... for FREE. Check it out!

+1 for livecast. Have been using it for over a year (when it was still called Com Vu).
