When I ran the personalizer it froze my phone after changing my today screen. I reset phone and noticed that the fix did not stick and it added HTC Home to my today sceen causing UL to be pushed to the bottom. I unchecked UL then ran personalizer. I then reset and the fix was there. I unchecked HTC then rechecked UL and it worked fine. I have HTC on one of the UL tabs so I guess it was causing a conflict when it changed today settings. Not sure why running this program would cause the HTC Home plugin to be added to the today screen.

Same problem here. After every soft reset HTC home shows up on the today screen even though it's not supposed to be.

I had the same problem with HTC Home popping up after each reset.

To fix it, I opened the "Personalizer StartUp.mscr", and noticed the last entry enabled HTC Home, changing the final value to "0" will fix the problem.

I can't get it to get rid of my Sprint logo on the home screen of the HTC Diamond. It does however set the text on the top left side of the screen in the Phone app right away, even without a soft reset. I installed the cab, waited about 5 minutes and then did a soft reset. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

EDIT: I was told that this would not work on the stock Sprint ROM on my Diamond. Hope this helps someone else wondering the same thing.

This program is nice, but it's one more process running.
I mean no disrespect with the suggestion I'm about to make.

Your program could write into only one place in the registry without having to keep mortscript running in the background.
For that you need the "Network Code Key" for the available networks (I'm attaching the list I have).
The way to do it:
First your program would have a drop-down list to choose the operator (or maybe it could be auto detected, that'd be up to you), and then the box where you write what you want to appear instead of the network name.

when applying changes, your program would write into the following key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RIL\Operator Names]

eg. if my network was Portugal TMN, and I wanted it to be replaced by FInixNOver, then your program would add the following reg:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\RIL\Operator Names]
"26806"="FInixNOver"

where 26806 is the "Network Code Key" for Portugal TMN, and FInixNOver is the text I want to see.

Think about it. Maybe it's not a bad idea, but as I said, I'm just making a suggestion.

FInixNOver,

What would your solution be for cdma (non-gsm) phones that do not have a NCK?

Well, I think every network provider must have a code whether it's GSM or CDMA. My device works on both GSM and CDMA, and I've just tested with the band mode for WCDMA only and I still get my personalized name, using just that reg entry I've mentioned before. Now the difference is that I have "3G FInixNOver" instead of just "FInixNOver", but that can be "fixed" by editing a value in a reg entry:

HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting
"Enable3GLongNamePrefix"=dword:00000001<--- change this value to 0 and the 3G will not appear before the name.
