Remove HTC Home Tabs

Does anyone know if its possible totally remove the tabs from the HTC Home Today Plugin? So that you have only the clock and the messaging buttons. Or is there a stable alternative that has the same features.

I've switch from HTC Home and have been running mobile shell under Battery Status with an HTC Home theme and the additional features mobile shell brings are amazing (my tabs are Clock, Dialer, Weather Panel, Today Agenda, and Ultimate Launcher). I like the larger messaging tabs from battery Status theme but doesn't look right in landscape mode and I'm constantly adding features that over complicate simplicity.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

This is exactly what I would like to see as well. I just simply don't use the tabs for the most part. I've been experimenting with Battery status and others to come up with that look, but none come EXACTLY the same.

I don't think it's possible to remove the tabs from Home however.

Any alternatives for this though? I am so trying SPb mobile shell. the clock and the messaging buttons are nice... but the tabs are a bit redundant.

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

Ok, I have found a workaround at least.

Using Ultimate launcher, set the fixed height to 115. Then install HTC Home as the startup page and viola! It basically hides the tabs, but it works.

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

That would be fine. But I want to run ultimate launcher under the stripped down version of HTC Home

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

You might want to keep an eye on this project

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374751

Has the digital clock like HTC home and it appears to center correctly in landscape. However, it has no notification icons below it. Maybe you can get the author to add them or find a second today plugin with those icons to run below it.

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

I'm looking for the same thing. I actually downloaded the digital clock and its great but would like the notifications tabs under it. I'm using pocket plus to launch programs so I don't need the launcher from htc home.

Re: Remove HTC Home Tabs

awesome.

My only concern, though, is that aside from the tabs (which i actually use), running the pocket digital clock and a second program would use just as much RAM wouldnt it?
