Big Problem With Active Sync... [Latest Version]
I have a Sprint Mogul. ActiveSync has ALWAYS worked perfectly fine for me, but today I think I may have messed something up...
I bought my girlfriend an MP3-Player for her birthday, so I loaded it up with all her favorite songs and CDs. After that, I decided that I want a few of those songs on my Mogul, so I disconnected her MP3-Player, and hoooked up my Mogul. All of a sudden, I get an error message that says: "Synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device and try again. If the problem persists, see the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter in ActiveSync Help on your desktop computer..." However, I can still explore ALL the file son my Mogul, so it IS connected and reading my phone AND storage card. The problem is, when I try to Sync music, or install a new application to my Mogul, I get another error message that says: "Your device is using an outdated driver that is no longer supported by Windows Media Player. For additional assistance, click Web Help." I realize what it says, but I loaded a few songs on my Mogul not 1 hour prior to getting this error. EDIT: Another weird thing is that every time I try to connect my phone it shows up as "WM_Owner1", then 2, then 3, etc... Anyone have any ideas?! -Touche' |

Well, I was about to try that, but now my PC won't let me install it. It says it's already installed, but I uninstalled it just a few minutes ago. Afterwards I checked to make sure it it's completely gone, and it is. I threw in the disk that came with the mogul, and the option to install ActiveSync is greyed out. This is bad...
If I can't fix this I'm gonna have to get rid of this thing... NOOOO!!! lol -Touche' |
Re: Big Problem With Active Sync... [Latest Version]
This has been a big problem for a lot people. I've been looking into with no solid solutions. your best bet is to use the explore funtion ten drag and drop. The process is alot faster if you have a sd reader. If you do find an answer please keep us posted.

Drag & Drop doesn't work either...
I get a new error for that one that says something about "Cannot find the specified folder. Make sure you specify the correct path and filename." This is such garbage. EDIT: In fact, I can longer delete files on my Mogul FROM my Mogul. Ex.) If I use File Explorer and try to delete ANYTHING, it gives me an error message saying: Access is denied. Be certain that the file is not write-protected and is not currently in use." -Touche' |

This may not be a complete solution, it it was probebly your first action, but i would try reseting your pc and phone before installing and uninstalling anyting. usb can be testy if you did not kill the device connection first.

Yeah, that was actually the first thing that I tried, but I've had no luck. At this point I can't use the phone AT ALL.
I can no longer: -Make Calls -Text -Open ANY Programs -Delete, Add, or Edit ANY Files -Use MVC -Make Use of ANY Hardware Buttons -Touche' |

Yeah, I just did a hard-reset... All the smae problems still. I tried to delete a song off my storage card, and I still get that message. ActiveSync STILL does not work, and now, I can't even put ANYTHING on my Mogul. No songs, files, .cab's, as well as the fact that I can no longer install applications through windows either.
I also tried deleteing files off my storage card using a reader....no luck. Now EVERY SINGLE FILE on that card is 'Write-Protected' or something... Unfortunately, since my storage card was full, that's now useless as well seeing as I can't delete OR use anything on the card anymore. -Touche' |
