IMHO if its really a cost thing, I'd save $10 a week for Sprite Backup Pack (the full monty)
IMHO it'll be the best set of software you ever laid green down for, I promise you.  Other than that: Has anyone had success with porting HTC Backup? I tried & failed, it wouldn't work for me.
