The best part of S2U2 is you do not have to lock it. It locks itself whenever you turn the power off. I was constantly forgetting to lock my phone and pocket dialing people.

Back on subject, has anyone gotten the sytemstate stuff to work, specifically the battery information?

I dont use it but UL has a battery state bulit in along with the clock that comes default. It has options for icos so I am not sure how it works or even if it works but it is built in. Let us know how it works if you get it working. I use the SPB PP battery status that is across the top of my screen.

BatteryStatus also has lots of different system state items available like memory, battery (imagine that :) ), voltage, cpu % etc... Its a great plugin and barely sips memory.

I have not been able to make this work either. I just get errors. Anyways I use the registry edit to show the clock on the taskbar instead of the clock.

I decided to mess around with it and I got it working -

It works like any other shortcut you create with UL. You can have it launch a program or not. You could have it launch the battery control panel or something else all together if you choose. There are three tabs the first tab you choose what program to launch when you click the icon, the second allows you to choose a windows XP icon the third lets you choose what you want displayed (ie charge state, voltage, temp etc...)

Okay I am trying to remove the program from my PPC 6800 and it wont go away. It's not in my remove programs list, it's not even in my file explorer anymore. But yet and still it is on my today screen. Please help.

You may need to reinstall it to get it to properly uninstall. Reinstall, deactivate the today plugin in settings and then try to uninstall it.

If that doesnt work you may need to manually remove everything which is all in the Ultimate Launch folder in Program files.

Thanks that worked. I had to deactivate in on the today setting before i could uninstall it. UL is not for me. I currently use PDClock on today screen and then use Pointui for everything else.

I bought this program a few hours ago. I see how to change icons, tabs, programs withicons. I do not see how to change color on backscreen? from window green to black. I have changed to cubes and removed icons and stuff and I am just lost on colors. I see colors on Animation and Headers.
Is it in Today Settings like Sprint Default place?

You change your theme (Or just your wallpaper) to change the background of your today screen. You do this in Settings>Personal>Today. If you want it all black there is a theme called allblack.tsk (imagine that) which is the one I use. I will post it if you would like or you can search for it I know it is on here probably several times.

This is a little off topic, so sorry in advance, but I have a somewhat related question.

Since I started using UL I've been finding all kinds of cool little Today plugins and shortcuts that I normally wouldn't run due to lack of screen real estate. Now, however, I just make a new tab and everything is good. So I've just about lost the need for the Start Bar/Task Bar/whatever it is called. I'm using dcinobar.exe to get rid of the bottom bar on my Today screen, and I'd like to find something similar for the top bar. I've played with Vijay's Today Toggle, but it doesn't perform quite like I'd like. Ideally I'd like something to hide the Start (top) bar on the Today screen, but show it when I'm running a program.

So, has anybody found anything like this? Again, sorry if this is a little off topic, but I figured it was kinda related since it was UL that got me thinking about this in the first place :)

I tried UL today and all i can say is this thing it way over my head. im not a newbie when it comes to customizing but this was a little more complicated than I thought. I just could not configure it to look the way i wanted it to. I have since uninstalled

Hoping someone can help. I just started using UL and whenever I soft-reset no today plugins load. I have to go to the today screen selections, uncheck UL, reset, then re-enable UL. It'll load, but repeats the same thing once I reset.

Just to be sure I did a hard reset and only loaded UL. Same result.

Running on an Apache with Helmi's WM6.0

There are some issues with apache and UL, specifically verizon 6700's. I do not know if there have been any solutions as I dont have one to test with. Make sure you have the load on start-up check box checked in settings but if that doesnt do it it may be the apache demons keeping it from working right.

i'm usingj a verizon apache, had helmi 6.0 now helmi 6.1. what i have found is that if i check the load on start up box, my phone will freeze. as long as i don't check that box it's fine, but loads as you say, with no plugins. i have found, however, that if i give it a min. then gesture, as if i'm spinning the cube, the plugins magically appear. i'm not sure what causes it, almost seems like it's built in, so as to speed up reboot or something. dunno if you've tried anything aside form reloading the ul plugin, but this is what works on mine. hope it helps.

is there a way to put more then one today plugin pre tab? also what do you get when you buy the program iv been using the trial ver for about 2 months and dont see a reason to buy it except to remove the "not activated" text at the corner of the tabs

Buy it to remove the not activated notice and to support the developer.

yes you can put more than one plugin. create a new tab and select a combination type tab. then add as many today plugins as you wish.

Yes, all it does is remove the not activated notification. I would not be able to stand seeing that on my mogul but if it doesnt bother you then I guess its your call as to purchase or not. I love UL and purchased more than anything to ensure that development is continued on it.

just use the makephonecall.exe that is found in the windows directory. That works the same as makecall.exe. At least that file is available on the touch.

I'm sorry i am not understanding what you are looking for for UL. You dont have to use PocketCM as your SMS client. If you want an application that notifies you of your text messages BatteryStatus performs this function for me. When a message comes in I can hit the icon and it launches messaging. I use windows 6.1 and prefer the standard threaded msging to PocketCM but you can set any SMS program as your default I believe.

Can someone tell me how to launch Battery Status with UL? When unchecked in the today screen it didn't show up in the plugin list in UL at least for me.

That is kind of odd. It should show up in the list. It is the first plugin on the list on mine.

if you just installed BatterStatus you might make you you do a softrest maybe. We all know that cures most things.

Hey you mentioned in the beginning of this post you were going to give this prog a try and i am guessing you have a 700wx.

Did you try and get it to work? Screenshots?

I am REALLY getting bored with my 700wx and if i do not do something to it soon I am going to end up spending $400 that I really don't want to spend.

Ok, so Im trying to use the HTC clone for UL, I copied the folder into the batterystatus folder, but I cant seem to find where to get this up to look like HTC home. Anyone got some instructions (and no< i dont see an advanced tab as has been mentioned previously)

I have UltimateSearch as a plugin inside ULtimateLauncher & when I tap inside the bar to get the cursor so I can start typing, nothing responds. Anyone else having this issue & know of a fix?

I installed ultimate launch a couple of days ago. It works great and it's very customizable. The only problem is that it's very unstable. After a lot of soft resets and one hard reset(thank you, SPB backup), I uninstalled it.

Are you using BatteryStatus HTC Clone? If so you need to go to BatteryStatus Options. You can go though programs or if you hold your stylus on the batterystatus plugin for a bit it will pop up as an option. You will see the Advanced tab as the 4th tab.

If you are using RL or somthing else let me know what it is and I will see if I can help.

It seems to be best practice to configure all of your today plugins that you are planning to use outside of UL and then just link them to UL once they are the way you want them. I have been running UL for almost 2 months now and have not had any problems since the first day.

Its worth it just dont try to configure the today plugins inside U and make sure you have a backup or at least a program with a safe mode feature.
