I never even thought about that working. It makes sense as that is how you do all kinds of things with UL. It will be a pain to make an ICO for each person you want to have a pic button for but you could do some neat stuff.

It is sweet and is completely customizable though XML.

I've been trying to track down a copy of MakePhoneCall, but no luck yet. Is it included in the stock Touch ROM, or a part of a custom ROM you are running?

Would one of you mind posting the exe and any related dll? Thanks.

Battery Status - HTC Clone Skin
 

For those that do not have BatteryStatus installed and want the HTC like screen, I have put together a cab (BatteryStatusExt.1.05.build_0277_HTC.zip) that will install Batterystatus, the HTC skin and also set it as a type 5 in the registry. A type 5 today screen plugin will not display scroll bars which is the same way the HTC Home Plugin was setup if I remember correctly.

Below is my current UL setup which includes a tab with the HTC Clone Batterystatus plugin.

NOTE: The attachment won't setup the weather, ultimate launcher or add the 3 tabs I have shown. It just gives you the HTC looking clock, date, owner name and the 5 icons below the clock for notifications.

EDIT: For those that already have Batterystatus installed, you can try the attached zipped cabfile BatteryStatus HTC Home Skin.zip file. The cab should install the skin and set Batterystatus as a type 5 plugin. I haven't tested this install out but it should work.

Have you tried www.deviantart.com and www.stylexp.net ? they are both pretty easy to navigate and find icons once you get the hang of it. If you are looking for anything specific and I have it will be happy to share let me know.

i know why...cause you checked start on startup....along with a few other settings..thats where it freezes the phone...i did 3 total reinstalls before i figured it out bro...watch that youtube vid above.....i talk about that issue....I show step by step what to set it as....also a good safe mode program would have saved ya...i installed on after never looked back.

i've had start on startup checked since i installed the app. haven't had it lock up yet. i'm using a 6700 with wm6. wonder what the difference is.

ya im on no2chems wm6.1 it launched activesync instantly....locking phone...even after a soft reset it freezes on startup..completely unresponsive...unchecking that fixes it...Like i said i had it happen 3 times on 3 hard resets after checking that box...was only program installed last 2 times.....thats how i fixed it...it still launches as well....just youhave to tap to open then on initial start...

even with it checked on mine i still have to tap to launch. it's kind of annoying becuase theres a little delay when i turn it on too. i use htc home as the first tab and i like to see it immediately.

i also have a problem runnin spb pocket plus 4 as a tab. every once in a while my icons get switched around, or they don't all appear. i tried locking all icons and whatnot, but it still happens.

ya i use htc home as well....only thing i changed since video was my header height for my videos from 26 to 7...gave more room on today so no scroll bar when filming my screen....and i dropped the #1 or #2 names for my tabs completely invisible now.....

I have been using UL, Pocket plus, and HTC Today all with no problems. Eventually I would like UL to replace PP and HTC apps. Just a thought Would it be helpful to compile a list of "methods" and/or "today plugins" that work well with UL? For instance there has been a few: Calender and Task plugins. How about email tab that shows my inbox, Call information (missed call, etc), Big Digital/Analog Clock, Lock Button, Picture Dial, How to make a program shortcut, and anything else that somebody might want to use?

i've thought about that. i would like to have a tab that is all my mail. haven't looked into it yet. right now i'm using htc home. spb pp 4, spb diary, and weatherpanel. the only problem i have is the icon prob in pp that i described in a previous post

Any of you guys using HTC home, i would strongly suggest you try using Stroths cab he created utilizing BatteryStatus and a custom theme. It looks spot on to HTC Home plus you get the customization you like by being able to use WP etc. Plus is it MUCH better on memory and has NO leak.

I have kind of started doing that but I have all of the sudden gotten really busy at work. For your email, if you actually want to see your inbox i think you will have to use something like Flexmail that has a today plugin. You can obiously see how many emails you have utilizing any number of plugins. I will see if I cant put together a something.

I honestly do not think that the problem with the phone locking up has anything to do with the activate on start up being checked. I ran into this problem a couple times and it occured when i was trying to work on plugins within UL. The first time i was deleting tabs on PocketPlus and changing the settings and ended up with the activesync thing. The other time I think it was HTC Home. It found that I had somehow crupted the ini file somehow. I verified this by booting in safe mode restoring the ini file from backup and rebooting and everything was fine again. I had the activate on startup on all along. I now use BatteryStatus instead of SBP PP or HTC Home but I still have it checked and it pops right up when I boot.

You need to add the BatteryStatus plugin into UltimateLaunch. WP = Weather Panel.

Got the HTC clone portion to install. I had to remove my previous version of batterystatus and just install the 1st cab he lists. When i tried to just install the theme cab it would not take. Now how do I show the actual battery status is the same tab? My HTC home clone is current called battery status......confused.

If you look at Stroths screen you can see that only the top half of his screen is UL. He is using HTC Home icons as his UL tab icons which are set to show up on the bottom (in this case halfway point on his screen). The three tabs shown are UL tabs.

To answer your question though to show multiple things on the same tab you need to do a combined type tab and add elements to it. It will ask if you want to add today plugins or shortcuts &system state. You can add multiple plugins and or icon sections using this type of tab.

I think I understand all of that, the cab I installed is called "BatteryStatusExt.1.05.build_0277_HTC.CAB". This cab installed the clock and the indicators below it, but not that actual battery status stuff. That is what I am saying. In my current tab I have "batterystatus" selected as my plugin. I see a clock and the indicators thats all.

I also just realized there is actually options if you press and hold on the clock, however none of these options do anything, still the only thing I see if the clock and indicator.

Edit: I figured it out, this plug-in has themes, and with the "HTC_Clone" you only see a clock and indicator, nothing else. With the default theme, you see the battery status and all of the other crap like normal. I have decided I really dont like it cause it loads all kinds of other crap on there you dont need like a "task manager" (similar to x-button) and a "tray Launcher". So basically to get the HTC clone theme you are disabling 90% of the plugins capabilities.

True It does have some other functions but you dont have to use them and even with those functions the memory usage is way better than HTC Home. Arent most of the features "off" by default? I decided I liked the bluetooth, wifi and phone on my tray as I already have PocketPower on my tray for softreset, power and screen flip.

Sure. Here you go.

These are not a icon collection per se. This is the zip of the icons that I have picked and choose from various collections to put on MY mogul. I created very few of them myself (probably 5) the rest were created by the artists either at www.deviantart.com or www.stylexp.net

Stroths post is earlier in this thread a couple pages back.

Okay I figured it out. One of the sets of Icons that I have and included in the zip above has icons named with a bullet in the filename. This is not allowed on the ppc. When you unzip them to your computer 1st Activesync renames them when you put them on your phone and removes the bullet. When you try to unzip it on the ppc you are probably getting errors. I downloaded the file on my ppc uzing opera and then opened it using PocketRAR and was able to unzip the file on my ppc but the 4 or 5 icon files with the bullets failed but the rest were successful.

I will fix the files and re-upload when I get a chance today.

Zip file should work better now and be mobile friendly if you are downloading on your phone.

I'm possibly going to purchase UL soon but I have found a bug. Sometimes when I wake my phone up but I think its from going to landscape and back UL has a portion on the rightside that it isn't using anymore and the entire thing is shifted left and up off screen. So plugins like MarsWeather using Phatfinger end up pushing content off. It looks like the spacing is the exact same as what the scroll bar would be in landscape mode.

Ive noticed this too. I actually liked that it happened because I hate the scoll bar from coming up even in landscape so it let me know i had to fix a tab and make it shorter. I think if you hold your stylus on a tab and do reload ini it fixes it no?

I noticed UL will allow you to create multiple instences of the same plugin something sbp pp doesnt let you do. I had sbp phone suite both on my today sceen outside of ul as well as on a UL tab. it ended up crashing my UL ini but it did let me do it.

thats interesting. i just put phone suite in, trying to use it with wisbar desktop and a very simple clock as the "home screen." its the only way i can think of to totally get rid of the top bar on only one screen. guess we'll see how it works out. so far all of my problems with ul have been related to the spacer today plugin.

did you check the "open on startup(?)" box in the settings?? that seems to be a common denominator in problems like this. if it's hanging on that screen on boot you may be in for a hard reset.

You need to uninstall and reinstall at least. I have not had this problem in a while and I do use the open on startup. I believe it has more to do with what you are trying to do in UL than it just happening because of the Open on start up setting. Both times I have caused this it was messing with today plugins within UL one was what I described about 5 posts up and the other I was messing around trying to customize the SBP PP plugin and screwed up the ini file somehow.

If you have a safe mode installed (such as SBP PP) then you can boot into safemode and uninstall and reinstall OR if you have a back up of your ini you can replace your ini from the backup and it will fix your UL install.

I would advise anyone using UL to get sprite or another backup program as well as a safemode program. Once you get UL the way you like it and stop tinkering (i know its hard :) ) then you should not get this issue anymore.

Hi I am totally new and not all that great with technology. I like this program but how do you add new tabs or icons under tabs. I have the at&t tilt and I cant get my google earth icon under a tab with the rest. Also how do I get my battery life bar back and how do I get rid of the "not activated" words in all four corners of the screen? I clicked activate, does it not go away untill you pay for the program? Any help would be great, hope Im not asking stupid questions thanks.:scratch:
