Re: VITO FindMe Gps....

I do have that version. I have not send a txt from a phone..I did try it via yahoo sms and sprint.com. I never read anything about it not working using those services. Why wouldn't it work? As long as I receive a txt message with the code word in the body, I figured it should work.

I have tried it through email and sprint.com with no luck. It might just be how the program sees the replay number. It could be programmed to see XXX-XXX-XXXX (might be wrong, just a guess). A text message from the internet could just have a 5 string number or @message.sprint.com, which the program might not recognize. I have only had it to work by sending a text message to myself, or using another cell phone.

Re: VITO FindMe Gps....

Anyone know if there is a way to remove the Today Plugin and still have the program work? It would be nice not to have it constantly scrolling that it is installed and that the phone can be located by SMS. When I unchecked the item in settings, it simply stored my SMS request and then processed it when I rechecked the item later.

Re: VITO FindMe Gps....

I don't thinks so. I have tried a few times and it never worked. To be honest this app is kinda old and lame since Sprite terminator HERE came out. Sprite Terminator works the same way just a few more commands and no today plug in.

Re: VITO FindMe Gps....

Anyone else notice that the keyword that you define is CASE sensitive? When ppl send me a text that says "location", but my keyword is set to "Location", the program ignores the incoming txt message.

Also, the today plugin for the program freezes and has to be reloaded. Sometimes it freezes when I open up my battery status, sometimes it freezes when I open my keyboard and the screen orientation changes. Its random.
