Best WM6 RDP software?

I currently use something that's listed in Remove Programs as Finster869 WM6_RDP. It works well enough, and I'm mostly happy with it. But it still has a couple of minor issues, like lack of screen resolution options, leaving me with portions of the computer I remote into being completely inaccessible.

Are there any better ones available that I should be aware of? Anything that improves these issues, or includes any other improvements I might like?

I like LogMeIn. Works great and is free. I have had no issue with portions of the screen being inaccessible.

I don't see any function of that for Windows Mobile. As well, as best as I've always been aware, LogMeIn is a third-party solution to remote access, and not RDP. I'm not interested in third-party remote solutions. RDP access has always works wonders for me and is my preference.

Smile Logmein Hamachi

Actually, Logmein makes another product called Hamachi. Using its free mobile client, you can set up a secure VPN with your desktop computer. This means secure use of the native WM6 RDP client, secure file transfers over your ppc file manager, access to all of your desktop resources, and the ability to use certain network specific functions that would not be available to you over standard RDP. Hope this helps.

I wasn't aware there WAS a native WM6 client. As far as I was aware this was removed from WM6, which is why we all have to install separate ones. I know it's not built into mine by default.

As I understand, LogmeIn handles the initial handshake then backs out. This is to aviod any NAT issues with your router. No need to open any ports. You do install client software to your ppc. The handshake may be handled by a third party, but the connection is direct. (This is my understanding, feel free to correct me if this is incorrect.) At any rate, it has always worked perfectly for me.

I've had the same problem with the screen size limitation with the microsoft version of wm rdc. I'd say it is almost useless. I've since switched to Mochasoft's Remote Client: http://www.mochasoft.dk/rd.htm . It uses a resolution of 800x600 and has 3 levels of zoom: level one is a compress version of the entire screen, level 2 is zoomed in a bit (can barely make out words), and level 3 is a 1:1 version of the remote system. In levels 2 or 3 there is a pan features that allows you to pan around on the remote screen.

Logmein is by far the best. You can connect anywhere you are as long as you have an internet connection. You install logmein on the computer/computer you want to access, and then log in to logmein.com on your mobile and sign into your account. Its free and is by far the best. It has dual monitor support, so I can see both monitors of the computer I am accessing, unlike WM6 RDP. Also the fact that you don't have to deal with the entire IP issue, unless of course you have a static IP, gives logmein a giant leg up on WM6 RDP. It is also faster than WM6 RDP and shows more of the screen on your mobile. Its all around a better alternative.

Ya, I'm not going to install a client on my 100 servers. My problem with Finster is it won't dial my VPN first. My Treo/WM5 did when I put in exceptions for dialing. I've asked him on the forum he frequents, but he seems to not get it.

The Mocha soft looks awsome until you get to the part " It could run with other systems, as the MS 2000/2003 Server, but as to prevent legal conflicts with Microsoft's license system, we cannot support these platforms."

Since none of my servers are "XP" I'm out.
