Well, I was a noob once (not too long ago actually), and I found that reading forums with detailed info kinda boosted my confidence in trying new software, knowing that there were experienced peeps in the forums that could help if I ran into difficulty.

And you guys & gals pretty much rock when it comes to the knowledge department :headbang:.

You forgot to say thank you for putting you on to this forum as well Chaos! lol. Glad to see you like it though.

Hey. Thus far, I'm liking the app. Looks nice and I can just keep it open. My only issue is that I'm running Photocontacts w/ it and it plays the whole SMS tone. Even whilst I check it, just keeps on playing. Anyone else having that issue?

Touchpal works perfectly with SMS-Chat. If you are talking about Palm's SMS Thread, there's no solution for that since it's the app's fault, not the keyboards.

I've had too many issues when using the predictive text function of TouchPal with this program so I'm gonna uninstall it. The Palm threaded SMS was fine. Not as flashy as SMS-Chat, but it worked. Also did anyone else notice the threading is only the messages received from your contacts and not a true chat style thread? If this is only happening to me then that's a sure sign I need to get rid of this thing.](*,)

Solved my own problems. As far as the threading issue, that was because in the main messaging options I had unchecked the box for saving a copy to my sent folder. No idea why that is a universal option and not just for each email account or text messaging. I hate saving copies of my emails in my sent folder on the phone. Anyway the Touchpal issue was due to selecting the display default word candidate inline option. After I turned that off everything is cool. Nice little app, but the notification screen is gonna get LOTS of ppl in trouble, and I might be one of them. Sometimes you have no control over what the "freaks" might send you

Best keyboard app ever. Plus it's really easy to add new words to it so typing slang and abbreviations is mad easy. I just wish I could get my speed up to the person in the video on their website, lol.
