Sorry little clarification. It is yet another way to personalize. I like it.

Thanks CODY

the first version had one thing missing that wuoldn't let it COMPLETELY uninstall. i dont know why anyone would want to uninstall it (lol), but if you did.... you then would need to install the new version over the old version before you could completely uninstall the app. the new version installs over the old version and still works exactly the same. the only difference is the uninstall part.

he's not the only one - and I don't have any custom rom on my treo 700wx.

Could someone tell me how to clean this software off my Treo 750 without spending $20 for memmaid? I installed Personalizer_1.1, decided I didn't want it, un-installed it, and now I get the notification message everytime my Treo wakes up. Please help.

I noticed you have both the original and v. 1.1 listed. Do both have to be installed or can just 1.1 be installed on a clean machine?

i have a sprint ppc 6700 running on alltel, so why does it say sprint pcs? why wont it change to alltel if its running off towers, I have changed the rom, whipped the extended rom clean, something is still blocking my *228 update through alltel, ive manually put everything,, its just a pain not knowing WHY, if I knew why i could change what is causing it.. anyone have any ideals? I dont just want to mask the carrier name I want it to stop putting sprint in a phone that is clearly pulling off a Alltel tower..

I have edited my registry and deleted every reference to personalizer and mortscript (this was even after an uninstall) and I still get the notification error. I am running WM6, I have the ExtendedRom mounted, and that is where I installed Personalized_1.1...

Help

Help

try this one more time. install version 1.1 let it do it's thing. and then uninstall it. softreset. wait 60 seconds between steps.

also i see that you are putting this in your extended rom. why i dont know, but inorder to remove this you need to install the 1.1 version in the exact same plact that you install the first version.

codyppc 01-10-2008 09:18 AM

memmaid does have a free trial version that you could use to do it as well. wouldn't cost you $20.

Initially, I never installed your first version. Later, I tried installing your first version in main storage, then I installed v1.1 over that and removed them, and they removed fine with no lingering notifications. The notifications from the ExtendedRom version still linger. The reason to install apps into the Extended Rom is that it represents about 8 megabytes of storage. I install S/W there, and leave main storage for the more volatile stuff (ie cache, etc).
