Firstclass and Facebook

My school uses FirstClass for email and all that good stuff, and I was wondering if anyone had come across a ppc program. I have looked but haven't found anything of the sort. The only other way to get to my email is really cumbersome, going through my school's website.
Also, my roommate has a Blackberry and he has a Facebook app that handles all his messages and notifications. It is a really well done program, and I searched but there doesn't seem to be anything like this for ppcs.
As always thanks for your input, these boards have helped me a lot since I got my Apache.
Cheers,
Jason

Not sure about Firstclass, but there is a mobile Facebook site. It's not a native app, but it works for me.

Yea I've been using that, but really facebook isn't that big of a deal to me, I was just surprised that something has not been developed for ppcs.

heres a tidbit from firstclass.com about using your ppc with it. not familiar with the site but just some basic info not sure if it helps any

FirstClass supports mobile handhelds through a "Sync and Surf" approach. On the "Surf" side, many modern mobile devices (Blackberry, Palm/Treo, Windows Mobile, iPhone, Symbian, etc.) have built-in web browsers that can be used to access virtually any website. Unfortunately, if the website in question hasn't been optimized, the results are often poor. With the Mobile Web Interface FirstClass provides a powerful and efficient user experience that enables users to get at virtually all their FirstClass content from their favorite mobile device. On the "Sync" side, FirstClass supports the IMAP and SyncML Internet standards for mail access and calendar/contact access respectively. These standards can be used to get email, calendar events and contacts to and from a wide range of mobile devices including Blackberry, Palm/Treo, Windows Mobile, PocketPC, Symbian and a wide range of mobile phones.

I work for a school board and we use FC for our email system. Your best bet is finding a SyncML client. I have tried our web interface from my mogul and my touch even after changing my preferences for the web client. It was still a piece of trash on the phone.

Synthesis would be your best bet. I tried Funamobl (sp?) and I couldn't get it to work. I personally set up a FC rule to redirect certain emails to my mail2web account so I can get "push" email. I don't usually have to reply from my phone, so it's good for me to keep in touch (I'm a DBA... gotta have my info lol)
