The extended version does. They are free downloads and the pro version download works but will have a registration popup till registered. The standard version is still free! Wow! got it! Anybody installed this over a cooked in touchpal 1? I'm going to try it!

Well got the results. Figured it was a bad idea but tried it anyway. A reflash without touchpal V1 as an OEM or someone creating a new V2 OEM or using OEMizer. Know what I'll be doing while I drink my coffee.....

Please don't request cracked/warez apps on PPCGeeks, it is agains the rules.

lazyboy0172 12-29-2007 12:43 PM

I'll stick with v1, or maybe update to the standard v2, though it looks the exact same as what i have. I was pumped for this software, had been looking forward to it all month, but $20 for a keyboard is too much, they missed the mark. $5 would have been great, and I probably could have stretched to $10, but 20? be reasonable, it's a keyboard.

MrOuija36 12-29-2007 12:46 PM

YES!.. bout to purchase it.. i support anyone who made texting on my touch easy as all hell... i just hope my dictionary ports over..

Pibe38 12-29-2007 02:09 PM

I'm excites to test it too, but it needs to be a darn good keyboard for me to spend $20 on it, I have to agree, it's a very steep price for it.

But if it fixes ALL my typing issues on the Touch, then it may be worth it.

MrOuija36 12-29-2007 03:20 PM

just bought it... new nice new features making typing even easier than v1... its only a dub!

tharris297 12-29-2007 03:31 PM

I must say ... if I had a touch i would definitely give this a long lock. But with my Titan, I'll just stick with the free version and pull out the keyboard when I need to do some real typing.

MrOuija36 12-29-2007 03:47 PM

definetly... only a must have for touch users... cant see why anyone else would want it forreal..

I do agree $20 is a little too steep for this product, $10 sure. But I own the 6700 with a hardware keyboard and sometimes it's nice just to have a touch keyboard I can use if I want to write a click note or send a quick message out to someone without having to slide out the keyboard.

MrOuija36 12-29-2007 05:42 PM

the free one should do you fine then

mellon 12-30-2007 06:53 AM

anyone would like to post a pic for the v2?

SyXbiT 12-30-2007 12:28 PM

$20!!!!!!!!
you've got to be joking

WanderingMinstrel 12-30-2007 03:18 PM

My guess is that the $20 tab reflects the present value of the US dollar on the world market. I don't think CooTec is a domestic company. We may be seeing a lot more shock prices like this until we clean up our economy.
As for V2 Pro, I'm tempted but agree that the free V2 Standard and my slideout will be just fine for now.

ajk511 12-30-2007 03:19 PM

I'm still loving the touch 12 button keypad with T9. used it on my mogul, and not that I have a touch (as of last night, woohoo!) Its my default keypad. but I might use the free one for pocketcm until they fix the issues with the touch keypad compatibility.

guitardoc64 12-30-2007 05:56 PM

Is it too soon to ask if anybody has made the free V2 into a WM5/6 kitchen OEM? I found out the hard way that it won't install over an OEM version.....

Note for those who already purchased:

Anyone want to share a license with me? PM me. $5.50 is a great deal.

Zoide 01-02-2008 04:15 PM

I'm very glad that they lowered the price to $10. That said, I've had a hard time getting used to the program (the buttons are way too small for me). I find that I can type much more quickly with the HTC Touch 20-button keyboard. It takes up much more screen space, but I don't find myself cursing at my phone so much...

What do other people think about the Touch 20-button keyboard vs the TouchPal?

MrOuija36 01-02-2008 11:45 PM

i mean i already paid the 20 as well didn't it say we get the 9 bucks refunded

xweaponx 01-03-2008 10:30 AM

I have been using the Touchpal V2 (making the purchase for the full monty soon) with PocketCM V0.17. There was a conflict the first 2 days but now they work great together.
Also note: I deleted the registry values for the other input methods and left only the Touchpal. This may have facilitated the better harmonic compatibility between the two.

xweaponx 01-03-2008 10:49 AM

Btw, here is a picture of my CM V0.17 with Touchpal 2.0...
