when i said theme.zip, i was just being generic, as i use a different theme.
i tried what you said.
had a plan text file called 'english.lang.ini' in program files/pocketCM
with just that one line in it.
didn't work. fortunately it isn't really that big of a deal.
0.17 is a HUGE improvement.
i can now flip out my keyboard, and it instantly rotates the screen (it used to really lag)
hopefully he'll switch to more regular releases now, and i assume this will be fixed in the next release

This might be a stupid question but, where is the send key for the sms. I type the txt message but cant figure out how to send it.

directly to the right of where you're typing.
it either says send, or has an icon that implies send, depending on theme

it requires you to press send for a couple seconds.

My issue is when I tell it to delete a conversation it crashed and does not delete anything. Installed it over .16 which was working normally.

I know that is probably better suited for the forums over at pocketcm, but I'm not a member there yet Anyways, is there a theme for this release (.17) that makes it look like version .15. I absolutely loved that one as it matched the rest of themes on my phone.

The pocketcm .17 is working just find on my wing, however, it in black and white only. Does anybody know how to make it look like the color version of 0.16

Nevermind the question, I have it figured out now. The color is great.

I have never used sms, do I have to set up a plan with sprint or is this free out of this program? Is SMS the same as Texting?
for that matter can anyone tell me if MMS is free as well.

SyXbit, I figured it what you are doing wrong. Actually you are not doing anything wrong, I think there is a bug in the program. Anyways do as I said with entering the statement in the setting.ini or english.lang.ini file. Then when you run pocketcm you will need to go move around in it. go to sms contact then go to your favorites then to the sms contact screen when you get back to where all contacts are showing it should make the label change. I think the bug is that it is not refreshing or reading the localization statement until you go to the other location within Pocketcm.

I tested this last night and found this problem. Let me know if this worked for you.

Everytime I download the keyboard, I can't find its location. Does anybody know where it is?

yea, i noticed that. going back and force between a contact fixes it.
problem is, EVERY time i load it up, it does the same thing again.
reseting doesn't fix it. and even if i don't close it, but minimize it, on next load up, the same thing.
still, it's ok. i'll wait for 0.18 :)

I haven't tried this program in while, can someone tell me if the on screen keyboard issues have been addressed so it's function for the htc touch?

How do you make this your default contact program?

It will automatically become your default PIM upon installation via CAB.

A few questions. I installed and it looks great, but it is NOT the default contact list. When I click the contacts on botton right of screen I get the original contacts list. Also, there is no icon for me to quick access this program. I have to find the exe. file on my memory card and execute the file to run. I use magic button and close all inactive programs to save on what little battery life I get. I was also wondering if the folders, black & white worked. i'm assuming that the touch folder is for a touch so I did not try that folder, but would like to use the black interface. I have the white when I installed and I'm assuming that this is ther white folder's default. I unzipped the black folder and noticed no change.

Did you install the .cab version? I did and sure enough it automatically became my default contacts.

There is a registry key you need to add/edit in order to change the behavior of the "Contacts" shortcut on the Today screen. The details are on the PocketCM website FAQ I think.

Did you use the CAB install? If so, I am very suprised it is not your default CM now. I am not sure if having it on your memory card is doing that or not. I wouldn't suggest having it on a memory card. As for the themes, they will all work, even the Touch skin. you don't need to unzip anything, leave them zipped in your PocketCM Program folder, and while in PocketCM, open tools, and you will see a screen giving you choices for how you want it to eun. Near the top is a choice of chosing the theme, click on that, and PocketCM will give you a list of all the zipped skin files in the PocketCM porgram folder, just click the one you want, it will load in a couple seconds, then you click OK....your good to go!!

so i installed the new version on my mogul and something happened couldnt tell you what kept getting these error messages so the phone reset and turned on and said pocket pc customization and was doing a bunch of stuff then restarted got to the sprint screen on the restart and froze i havent syncc anything so i hope i dont lose my contact or anything else im mostly concerned about the contacts its over at the sprint store now i hope its fixable anyone have any ideas what may have hapened

Not sure what happened but, you probably should only take it to the sprint store as a last resort because everytime I've taken mine to them they just do a hard reset and say its fixed. Then I have to take it home and recustomize it and still work the problem out on my own. Not to mention the fact that it erases my contacts (I have them all synced). If you could get in to the phones settings you probably just should have removed the program.

Is there anyway to get rid of the onscreen keyboard in PocketCM? I normally just open the phone and type.. and than the keybaord pops up and i cant see what the hell was said or previsoulsy said.

You're not the only one. I also noticed that when I go in to the PocketCM options menu it says .17

Yup. I uninstalled and reinstalled like 5 times and Im like.. ok so maybe it isnt me...

Make sure you install clean. do not install over .17 or any version.

also for the keyboard when on the SMS screen tap at the very top (you have have to tap and hold) and a menu will come up. select no SIP. this should take the keyboard off the screen.

No SIP is not an option. I see show sip and choose sip and cancel and call number and choose number and del conversation.

anyone else have a problem when our in the threaded sms part of the app and you type using touchpal and you hit the space bar it puts the word but doesnt space it i have to hit the spacebar twice for every word i put just so it can space out right?

To choose No Sip you actually have to go into the choose sip part of the menu, it should be at the top.
