Re: visual voicemail
I did this with callwave on Sprint, and though they reassured me multiple times that "no, you won't be charged for call forwarding on unanswered calls" I still got charged *shock*
It was a cool gizmo type feature, but not worth paying Sprint $.20 per voicemail. |
Re: visual voicemail
Ask to speak with the technical support team. They will get you set up (they understand the difference a little better). I agree it's not worth it if you pay per voicemail, but it sounds like somebody goofed on Sprint's end (no big surprise). It sounds like you already did this, but try again and tell them to forward on busy and forward on not answered. Also tell them that somebody goofed last time and you ended up getting charged. Ask them to make a note of it in their system that you are setting up forwarding options for which you should not be charged in case you have to call back and get the charges reversed.
When you get it set up, it's really nice because the email says who the message is from and you can store the wav file in case it is something you ever have to refer back to. The big plus in my mind though is that you don't have to use your minutes to check your voicemail and you can choose what you want to listen to in what order. |

Re: visual voicemail
is it like this on the simply everything plan.

Re: visual voicemail
wait, are you saying that you are not supposed to be charged on a forward if it is during busy or a no answer?!?!?!?!?
|
Re: visual voicemail
I did go through tech support and asked 5 times if I would be charged per forwarded call, and was assured that I would not be. I then called back and talked with tech support again and had that person look at my account and asked if I would be charged per forwarded call with it being set up the way it was. Again, they said "no, you will not be charged for Call Forward-No answer and Call Forward-Busy calls" but like I said, I was charged. This was Sprint charging me, not CallWave. CallWave was actually a pretty good service. Sprint just doesn't know it's hind end from a refrigerator.

they have a free version that checks your v/m box 3 times a day, no mp3. Premium = $10/mo with mp3 attachments, ect... I haven't tried this, just remember it from when I was hunting... |

Re: visual voicemail
Don't know, didn't bother. Just switched it back and did away with the visual voicemail. It was cool, but not worth all the hassle of arguing about a bill each month with Sprint.
