Overview: Sure email and browsing on your phone are helpful, but it's time to truly upgrade your Windows Mobile experience. Watch LIVE TV whenever and wherever you want. Waiting in line? Let them watch some cartoons Key Features: * High quality streaming video * Graphical channel guide with full programming information * Full screen viewing option * Portrait mode viewing option (Pocket PC only) * Touchscreen/pen-based navigation * 5-way navigation for one-handed use * Mini guide allows you to browse channels WHILE watching TV Installation of the CAB-file: 1 INSTALL SprintTV CAB in PPC 2 If when trying to run it you receive ERROR: "The file 'SprintTV' cannot be opened. I am getting error 7000: channel unavailable for all channels. I soft reset and now it's not working at all. Gonna reinstall in a bit, will let you know what happens. |
Excellent!! I knew it was only a matter of time before someone hacked this. Shades of DirectTV hacking...(from the long gone past of course)..lol. If that could be hacked this sure could! |
Hello, I've tried numerous times and followed the directions listed. But for some reason I still can't get it to work. Can someone explain a little more clearer on what exactly needs to happen so I can get my TV on. |
Here's what I did.... 1) uninstalled old SprintTV 2) Deleted old cache folder 3) deleted old registry entry (HKLM>software>sprinttv) (in my case i really couldn't uninstall as it was built into the ROM by the kitchen so an uninstall may be delete the registry entry for you) 4) installed from new "fixed" cab 5) started up SprintTv, tried to get a channel (it kinda of hung there), then closed it... 6) deleted newly created cache folder 7) copied over provided cache folder to replace it 8) restart sprintTV and enjoy! |
Works perfect.. thanks alot guys |
I'm still having the same issues. I did a fresh load of DCD's rom (w/ radio 1.40) and followed the instructions to install Sprint TV. Still getting channel unavailable error. Gonna try a different rom, possibly the stock sprint one - yuck. |

Is this program working on the PPC 6800...The only thing thats happenin on my phone is that it just says loading on the TV Menu page....Someone help me out |
SC_ZEUS - Once you get to that point you need to delete the cache folder and copy the one provided. I have the 6800 (Mogul) as well and am having issues. This is supposed to work on the 6800 and lots of others have had it work properly, not sure what's goofing it up for me. |
I loaded Custels 1.1 ROM and Sprint TV is functional. Many thanks! |

I use wifi to connect my mogul to the web and do not have any Sprint services other then phone. With the older version of Sprint tv I was able to connect using wifi. When I try to connect with this version it hangs up on loading. I deleted the old cache and loaded the new one. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help. Alan |

For me there was no pre-existing cache file in the \Program Files\SprintTV folder. Therefore, I went ahead and just copied the cache file provided in this thread to the SprintTV folder. After a soft-reset my Sprint TV program opens but the channels are constantly "loading". What'd I do? **EDIT** OK, After running the program I went back to the folder and did see a "cache" folder there. I deleted that one and copied over the new one provided and started up SprintTV again. My channels are still perpetually "loading". So now I just did a soft-reset and the original cache folder is back. So currently here are the contents of my \Program Files\SprintTV folder: "original" cache folder, cache file provided in this thread, SprintTV app and another SprintTV file. |

Evertime I initiate the SprintTV program it replaces the original cache folder that I keep trying to delete. |
Having the same issue after SR. (loading) Ben, You have to extra the cache folder from the cache.rar file into \Program Files\SprintTV |
