thanks! now to figure out what channels to subscribe to. is there a package deal where u can get all the channel subscriptions?

habib0712 11-28-2007 11:13 AM

I am getting error 7000: channel unavailable for all channels. I soft reset and now it's not working at all. Gonna reinstall in a bit, will let you know what happens.

rickpub 11-28-2007 11:15 AM

Excellent!! I knew it was only a matter of time before someone hacked this. Shades of DirectTV hacking...(from the long gone past of course)..lol. If that could be hacked this sure could!

twbrooks 11-28-2007 11:16 AM

Hello, I've tried numerous times and followed the directions listed. But for some reason I still can't get it to work. Can someone explain a little more clearer on what exactly needs to happen so I can get my TV on.

rickpub 11-28-2007 11:37 AM

Here's what I did....

1) uninstalled old SprintTV
2) Deleted old cache folder
3) deleted old registry entry (HKLM>software>sprinttv) (in my case i really couldn't uninstall as it was built into the ROM by the kitchen so an uninstall may be delete the registry entry for you)
4) installed from new "fixed" cab
5) started up SprintTv, tried to get a channel (it kinda of hung there), then closed it...
6) deleted newly created cache folder
7) copied over provided cache folder to replace it
8) restart sprintTV and enjoy!

Works perfect.. thanks alot guys

habib0712 11-28-2007 12:14 PM

I'm still having the same issues. I did a fresh load of DCD's rom (w/ radio 1.40) and followed the instructions to install Sprint TV. Still getting channel unavailable error. Gonna try a different rom, possibly the stock sprint one - yuck.

SC_ZEUS 11-28-2007 12:20 PM

Is this program working on the PPC 6800...The only thing thats happenin on my phone is that it just says loading on the TV Menu page....Someone help me out

habib0712 11-28-2007 12:33 PM

SC_ZEUS - Once you get to that point you need to delete the cache folder and copy the one provided.

I have the 6800 (Mogul) as well and am having issues. This is supposed to work on the 6800 and lots of others have had it work properly, not sure what's goofing it up for me.

habib0712 11-28-2007 12:53 PM

I loaded Custels 1.1 ROM and Sprint TV is functional. Many thanks!

pinanaplayer 11-28-2007 01:00 PM

Could someone help me plz!! The welcome movie will play but the screen with the channels says loading and just stays there...and that's as far as I could get...what am I doing wrong?

Hell Yeah!
This works on my Verizon Apache!

Chef Ben 11-28-2007 01:39 PM

I can't seem to find the \Program Files folder. I'm using PHM Reg Ed. I'm under the HKLM folder right now.

kyppcgeek 11-28-2007 01:40 PM

um... no.
chef you need to go to file explorer and then program files.

get the hell out of the regeditor before you corrupt something.

lol

Chef Ben 11-28-2007 01:46 PM

Opps...I mean just joking! lol

D/\SH 11-28-2007 01:51 PM

cjundt 11-28-2007 01:52 PM

Works great. Thanks for getting this up.

aseidman 11-28-2007 01:56 PM

I use wifi to connect my mogul to the web and do not have any Sprint services other then phone. With the older version of Sprint tv I was able to connect using wifi. When I try to connect with this version it hangs up on loading. I deleted the old cache and loaded the new one. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
Alan

subprime 11-28-2007 01:58 PM

Working fine on my 6700. Thanks for this!

pinanaplayer 11-28-2007 01:58 PM

Thanks for the extra instructions I got it working fine now!

cjundt 11-28-2007 01:59 PM

Thanks for getting this to work

Chef Ben 11-28-2007 01:59 PM

For me there was no pre-existing cache file in the \Program Files\SprintTV folder. Therefore, I went ahead and just copied the cache file provided in this thread to the SprintTV folder. After a soft-reset my Sprint TV program opens but the channels are constantly "loading".

What'd I do?

**EDIT**
OK, After running the program I went back to the folder and did see a "cache" folder there. I deleted that one and copied over the new one provided and started up SprintTV again. My channels are still perpetually "loading". So now I just did a soft-reset and the original cache folder is back. So currently here are the contents of my \Program Files\SprintTV folder: "original" cache folder, cache file provided in this thread, SprintTV app and another SprintTV file.

Can't get it to work on wifi either. I am by no means anywhere even close to an expert but I would reinstall the old version and compare the registry to see if there are any settings in there about wifi. Just a suggestion

Erase the cache folder and copy it over again... I've found in one instance so far that it worked, then stopped working, I deleted then copied over the folder again and it worked again.

FWIW, I downloaded the CAB & Cache file straight to my Mogul via PIE (no syncing). I didn't even mess with the Cab of PocketRAR. Hope that's not part of it.

Evertime I initiate the SprintTV program it replaces the original cache folder that I keep trying to delete.

habib0712 11-28-2007 02:21 PM

Having the same issue after SR. (loading)

Ben,
You have to extra the cache folder from the cache.rar file into \Program Files\SprintTV
