Extreme Text 1.01 Threaded SMS

I searched for any discussion on the above app and I didn't see anything specific to this. I just download the free trial app and I love it so far. When I downloaded the app it converted all of my existing text (running stock text) to conversation text, I didn't lose them. It is a lot better then the threaded SMS because the text box moves up above the keyboard and you can see what you type. Sorry if I missed this post but I figured I would let everyone know. The cheapest I have found it is $12.95 at http://www.download.com/Extreme-Text...-10763537.html. If anyone knows where it is cheaper let us know. If anyone is running this app and knows of any bugs please let me know.

Note* If you download the app to your computer run it from there and active sync will apply it to your phone.

Edit: Smartphone edition is out and works on all WM smartphones.
PPC Edition is also NOW out!

Yes, I am trying to figure out how to MAP it to my Today screen where my text button is.

Anyone know how to MAP it.

registry edit: today>keys

key112 = calendar
key113 = contacts

change one of them to the prog.

Wow this program works really well! The only downside is that it is in fact optimized for Windows Smartphone which means touch screen stuff is limited to selecting. So you have to use the enter button more than usually (the d-pad center button).

And my other pet peeve... if you are in a conversation window, in order to get back to the text list, you have to click menu and then main contacts, why is there no back button, duh.

Maybe some of us should contact the developer and request they optimize a version for touch screens! I would so pay for this app if it supports touch screen!

I went to Birdsoft.com and it states on the left hand side where you download it that Compatibility is Windows Mobile Standard Windows Mobile 5 + 6.

utexaxcg, I am using the HTC plugin that came on the phone and want to change the text key that is between the email and missed call button.

I tried it and is promising but is not there yet. Works ok with the Touch but some touch screen features don't work as it is expected for a smartphone software.

I see what you are saying, this app has a lot of potential and I can use it as it is but it would be great to make it more compatible to our system. It is not worth the price but I would be willing to pay for it with proper changes.

It is a nice program. First threaded SMS app for the Moto Q that works well. Plus...
  • No .NET CF 2
  • Small footprint
  • Works well (integrates with the Email inbox on the Q)
  • Not expensive
People should write to Birdsoft and have them make some simple changes to the GUI for PPC devices. Besides the unsupported Palm sms app, this is the 1st decent commercial software I've seen for this purpose.
