S2U2 is Slide2Unlock2 and it has a feature called BlankOnTalk that I believe would do what you are looking for. It is free and you can find info on it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343256

have you tried pressing the power button it shuts off the screen and buttons untill the call ends or you press it again

One feature I sorely wish that the Touch had is the ability to lock the screen from touch input as soon as a call is placed or answered, like the iPhone does. I am hearing impaired and I have to really get the phone close to my ear but unfortunately I've had issues with applets turning on and what not because of my face pressing the screen. Why don't you just turn the screen off when you get a call? That's what I do. The screen will automatically turn back on when the call has ended.
