GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I only need Windows Mobile solutions, don't wish to sync my Google Calendar to Outlook.

Just recently learned about GMobileSync, GooSync has been my sync method so far but I'm getting sick of the NO DB found and short/limited calendar syncs.

I want the best free solution, that will offer clean syncs. I hate duplicates and so far GooSync (given its limited reliability) has not produced any errors of that nature.

Any good recommendations, esp as far as being better or more reliable?

I tried Goosync (many moons ago...I'm sure there have been updates). Haven't tried GMobileSync yet. Also doesn't look like there are many users here that have (based on search).

If you try out GMobileSync, please post your results.

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I've been looking at this recently too. I tried out Goosync, and it was OK, but I'd really like a free option that syncs everything, not just 30 days of calendar events.

My ultimate goal was to wirelessly sync my wife's Touch with iCal on our home computer. Google Calendar seemed to be a viable intermediary, but it's not a very elegant solution. Lots of little hacks and tweaks and 3rd party programs required to get it to work. I'm still looking...

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

Sorry to resurect a dead thread, but I'm looking at this too at the moment.

I was using GMobileSync and it works quite well for awhile, then it will refuse to update, even after a reinstall of the program.

So, I switched to the free version of OggSync and it seems to work great, but I don't want to pay $30/year for just a personal calendar sync.

I'm currently trying to get nuevasync.com to work, but it keeps saying my username and password are bad. Boo urns to that... it lets me log into their website with those credentials.

Anyone make any progress on this in the last little while?

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I've been using the full version of oggsync for almost a year now and have had very few problems. At the moment I sync 11 calendars at a range of 2 weeks back and 6 months forward. I have successfully synced these calendars at 6 months back and 5 years forward after a hard reset. In that sync there were over 1000 events. I've tried the other services, this one was the best for me.

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I like nuevasync. Over the air syncing, it is my current google calendars syncing solution. I can pick which calendars I want to sync with my phone, and any new appointments on my phone will update on my default/main google calendar.

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I use goosync, I have the full version, I got a deal about a year ago that made it possible to buy a lifetime at a real good price.
I tried oggsync, it synced the calendars perfectly, but it took for ever to sync my contacts, I use more then one calendar for my business' so nuvisync was a no go for me...at that time.

Re: GMobileSync Vs. GooSync Vs. Other? (Google Calendar Sync apps)

I Sync my Touch Pro2 (WinMo 6.5) with Google Calender and Contacts using Active Sync. www.google.com/mobile/sync/ has information on how to set it up.

Right now it syncs two different calenders to my phone Birthday's and Appointments.
