Google Voice Question...audio SMS notifications on Windows Mobile?

So I have my HD2 and I just upgraded my Google Voice account to a Google phone # so I can get free calling and SMS for life no matter what phone I have. I haven't used it for texts yet but I was just wondering if there's a way to make notifications work with google voice in any way. It's a great service, but I would have no idea if somebody sent me an SMS or left me a voicemail...I'm really not impressed with any of the current google voice dialers for WinMo. It's a real shame as it seems like Google completely ignored WM 6.5 because it's going out of style.

Just wondering if there's any sort of miracle that would at least let google voice SMS notifications work with windows mobile, so you could at LEAST know when you receive a text message.

I receive an email everytime someone texts or leaves a vox mail to my GV number--check your settings within GV.

Yes, set it up so that your sms gets converted to an email (hopefully gmail), and then set up gmail push notification, and you will get the email pushed to your phone almost immediately.

Send a message via MSN to gimme5
Re: Google Voice Question...audio SMS notifications on Windows Mobile?

If you have your cell phone number listed under your GV account, go to settings -> Voicemail and SMS ->Send a text (SMS) message to: and check mobile. You will get a text message whenever you have a new voicemail.

Now, for SMS: go to settings -> phones -> Edit (your mobile number) and check "Receive SMS on this phone".
