Re: Where are all the Cool Apps at?

Maybe its just me, and that I have worked with Mirco for ever, that I find more stuff for my WM phone than my friend does for his I. He bragged about his ability to remote into a desktop, even a windows. then I showed him mine. Oh, and mine was free. He kept trying to show me what his phone can do, and I would show him the same from WM. He finally got flustered and showed me his COD Zombie game. I asked him how it was, he said controls suck. He does have bejeweled2. I aint paying 10 bucks for that!

Yea, I like my Imagio alot better than the iPhone. Glad I stayed!

Re: Where are all the Cool Apps at?

I used to be able to find nearly anything I needed/wanted for my WM device but over the years most of the magazines, outlets that I used have gone away and I just didn't keep up with what was out there. My Fault, I know. After I amassed the programs I had, I just kinda quite looking since I really didn't need anything. Now that I have a newer WM6.1/6.5 phone, most of the stuff I have just doesn't work well or at all on it. So now I'm almost back to square 1 with trying to find apps, games and other toys like I had with my Axim.

Re: Where are all the Cool Apps at?

WinMo has the best KILLER app Free (&Easy) Tethering via Wifi, BT or USB. It can be done on other platforms but is not nearly so easy.

Re: Where are all the Cool Apps at?

Heres an app you guys might enjoy. FREE TV FOR 30 Days of MobiTV. cab from HD2 works great on TP2 here are the pics. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=110083&page=4

Also I wanted to add I was messing around with other older devices and I got it running on my old 800w.

So as you can see you can try it on other Win Mo devices. Just make sure if, and when it asks you to upgrade you dont. Just close it and re-open or softreset.

This is anther great forum for apps since I see some here are TP2 users. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1652315

The link to the thread that Improve posted is an awesome place to look for apps/games etc. There is a huge amount of cabs posted over there and almost all are free!

Wow...that's kind of an ignorant and close-minded statement. There are plenty of apps on the iPhone market that not many people are able to use. Programs like 'BeatMaker.' I have a TP2A, but I also have 2 iPod Touch 32Gigs. Why? ...because I can actually DJ downtown using two of those + 'BeatMaker' for effects and loops. There 'seems to me' to be a lot more you can do with an iPhone than a Windows Mobile phone. Altbhough, I suppose a stuck-up person probably wouldn't consider something such as DJ'ing a profession. Either way, it's like they say..."There's an App for Everything."

I'm not an Apple fanboy. If I was I'd be sporting an iPhone. I just saw the statement quoted at the top and it's just a load of crap.

Bottom line is...almost any program that exists for WinMo has an Apple App that can at least match it. So, how is it that WinMo is more professional? Don't get me wrong, I 'LOVE' my WinMo, but Apple has Apps for Accounting, Medical Fields, Musicians, Lawyers/Law & Criminal Justice, Ad Agencies, Stock Brokers, Nuclear Physicists, Marine Biologists, Chemists, Geographers..etc. I guess people in these professions that sport an iPhone are mindless, though... :/

Actually, I will be switching to Android once we can get our hands on the HTC EVO 4G....lol

Re: Where are all the Cool Apps at?

I cannot believe that anyone with internet is unable to locate tons of applications for WM. I have several gigs of programs that I have collected over the past few years... I have more than 200 apps/utils/games installed at the moment and am constantly finding new stuff (both useful and entertaining). Apple has created a market with their iPhone, just like McDonald's created a market with fast, cheap, cheeseburgers. That doesn't make the product good, just gives the masses something to consume. Having a (new) WM device is like walking around with a full-blown computer in your pocket that can be configured to your liking... how many different shells can you choose from with an iPhone? This is a pointless issue so forgive my wasting space here, just having a hard time with the fact that some people have such a difficult time finding applications...
