If you want to try to make Opera Mini 5 Beta the default browser you can do it (kind of) with JZ SmartMort
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382043

Since this beta doesn't properly accept a url input, he had to make a workaround.

Basically, it'll copy the link into the clipboard and open Opera Mini and then you have to paste in the link. Not a horrible solution.

He hasn't made that version public, but you can PM him there for a link to a version that supports Opera Mini WM.

has anyone NOT using mort scripts made OM5WM the default via registry editing?

If so when you click a http link from Outlook Mobile what exactly happens?

I'm using the JZMort workaround and it's pretty functional. I have to highly recomend the app as it lets me select what browser to open the link with. Skyfire, Opera Mini 5beta2, Opera Browser 10beta3, Opera 9.5 and of course Opera Mini 5 WM all live on my Tilt. Depending on the link any one of those might be the best browser. Even with the aformentioned bugs Opera Mini 5 WM is rapidly becoming my favorite.

You can edit these keys:
Hkey_Classes_root\htmlfile\Shell\Open\Command
Hkey_Classes_root\HTTP\Shell\Open\Command
Hkey_Classes_root\HTTPS\Shell\Open\Command

and put the full path to the exe (mine was "\Program Files\Opera Mini 5\OperaMini5-WM-armv4i.exe"

This did successfully launch Mini from an e-mail link, etc. However, as mentioned earlier, it does not accept a URL as an argument, so it just goes to the speed-dial start page.

^ Thanks zaphod. Hopefully they get that fixed ASAP. That's probalby why they left out "make this the default browser" option on install (like Opera Mobile 10 b3 has).
