Uhmm I don't really know if that's something that can be changed on the registry or something in the code. storyr would probably know...
You can always set WP not to update automatically and then you can manually update it every morning or whatever.

Don't really care about the weather throughout the day, just when I get up in the morning. I wouldn't updated once every 3 or 4 days, if its future forecasts weren't sometimes wrong. Also, by having it update every few hours, wouldn't that run your battery down faster?

I like to know the current weather/temp so I update every 30 Min's. I also update 3 radar images. I have not been able to tell a difference in battery performance. |

I had weather panel set to update every 30 minutes or so and it drained my battery very quickly. Are you doing something to get weather panel to close the data connection once it's established? It's not the actual WP download that drains the battery, it's the lingering data connection that won't close on it's own for an hour or two...at least that's what I found.

Now you bring up a good point. If I closed it I wonder what my battery life would be. Right now it goes from 100% at 6:30am to about 20% at 10:00pm. However this can change base on what I'm doing with my device. |
